i just purchased a Japanese DSi on version 1.0J. the thing unfortunately has been pretty much locked up with parental controls, & i cannot reset it using Nintendo's master key system or any other master key systems. I've been provided with the same master key from several different tools & Nintendo themselves & it simply doesn't work on the system. I have Twilight Menu++ installed on it as well. is there anything i can do to remove parental controls ?

Yessir. Both websites provide me with the exact same code & that code doesn't work. Nintendo themselves also tried giving me that same code through support, then told me they couldn't do anything else for me when I told them that key doesn't work. I think master keys only work on DSi's running Version 1.1 or later which pretty much nullifies any shot I have at using master key unlocks.

What about updating the FW? Are you unable to do so, because of Parental Controls?

Would you really want to update a console on 1.0? Doesn't sound like a good idea.

No idea if initial setup works on HiyaCFW, but worth a try (I would not want to write to NAND like randomly deleting files not knowing what I'm doing, so this would be my first step).

At some location the pin must be stored. Maybe the current pin can be extracted with a hexeditor?

@Xdqwerty there is health behaviour you can add to your character, then to use a health bar is lil more complicated, google n watch a few tutorial video on it, be too hard to explain here.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the character has the health behavior
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I know you have to create a health and health max variable. Then there is a calculation you use in code to subtract width size of the health bar. Google few vids.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the "greenflatbar" is one of the preset health bars btw
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you can use any bar/sprite. It will just change the width. Ok good luck and have fun. I'm off to go shoot some pool at the bar. Talk to you later.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why does the health behavior exist if you can just use a variable?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
