Hacking Question Waiting for a sw core clone? or for restock (if ever happend)

Sorry if I open a thread about this, but I didn't found a megathread about sx core.
I have some questions that I hope you can answer;

1. I thought that the community loose interest for the sx core because it was too hard to solder, but I've understand that there are simply no unit to buy, so I'd like to know if I should wait for a clone (maybe simple to install) or try to buy it as soon as it will get avaiable somewhere (I hope so).
2. If someone studied the mod, can you tell me if it's safe to update the OFW? or there is a way to block the mod throught software?

pretty sure £40 is pretty cheap its less some places not by much but still.

£40 for auto rcm and a modchip with an sxos license is worth it

the trinkets that are made have more solder points isnt as simple and cost like £15 minimum.

ps. you wont get a simpler version of the sxcore to install its pretty simple atm

theres units to buy its just that stores keep getting taken down or have to remove the sxcore from their products because nintendo are going hard due to the fact they cant stop this modchip throught software.

the clone would use the same install method its how it works.
for now you can update to latest firmware and install modchip

the chip supports payloads fine its just the way the chip works and how it writes means that current payloads need updating.
someone linked a version of hekate (non ui version) that works with mariko switches
and yeah it does

devs just need to get their own units/testers for other payloads to work

Okey, still feel I prefer an open chip. Always been like that ;P

40 for the modchip is not that much.
Now I had some time to watch some videos about install and.. damn, the two points sp1 and 2 are easy but the capacitor on the cpu. I don't think I have the right skill to solder there

If only there was someone that I could trust in my city or if there was trusted mod shop... Because its pretty sure that there will be no "easy way" to hack Mario except this.

BTW I ask you for the ofw update because I just curious to know it there is a way to block the mod through the sw and because I just want to play some f2p games while I'm waiting

Yeah I agree 40 isnt much after speaking with some other installers who are eu, I plan bunch of installs then raise the price after a time period

Not much then will make it like 50. I will then cover eu installs aswell as long as postage costs are handled for people a bit more distant.

you can buy them but people are being careful not to share links because of nintendos rampage shutting them down.

Its not the modchip thats expensive.
Sx license is like 30, chip itself like 10. Reason why youre seeing it for more is shipping and additional profit for seller.

A clone could be sold for like 10-15, but at the moment there isnt even a cfw other than sxos so its kind of pointless to make one.
