I haven't read a whole lot about the leak but I know there is speculation that it will help with a number of projects like emulators and such. I'm specifically wondering about USBLoaderGX. Are there any plans to see if there is anything interesting to use in the leak? Better game compatibility? I am particularly interested in improving USB compatibility, although I believe that is more of a cIOS issue and not a issue with the loader. My Wii is picky about which USB drives it likes.

I'd love to see improvements like loading games from HDD direct from Wii Menu, but the wii scene is pretty much dead already. Everything that could be done on the console was already achieved and the guys who still have some interest in developing apps for it won't even look at the leaks to avoid being sued by Nintendo.

I mean, all the stuff that's released here are legal because they didn't use a single line of code developed by Nintendo, and reverse-engineering is legal in most countries.

I don't see much if anything. The scene is certainly not dead, but as mentioned, it's all been done. It is fine tuning emulators, loaders that keep the interest. N64 emulation could benefit if someone had the energy & will, but N64 emulation is still scratchy on your current PC. WFL-GX play 99.9% Wii/GC/VC/WW library as if you were using the disc or bought through the shop. There really is no need to try to reinvent the wheel, kinda like Coca-Cola.

Hello.:)

That is a Matter of an custom IOS and USBLoader and newer Hardware (HDDs/"other" USB Devices).

I am not a Developer but for what I know, everyone with Knowledge can compile own Versions of the USBLoader GX.
There are some Guys here with already done Modifications like @blackb0x for Example with his Enhanced Version.:)

You can try and use an older Revision (r1268 or 1271) from the USBLoader GX,this works very good with many older USB Sticks/Flash Drives and so on,but it is still not recommended.USB Sticks are not "designed" for this Kind of use (how USB Loaders work).Maybe please also search for Threads from @Cyan ,he knows nearly everything about this Topic and wrotes many, many Manuals here. You will find them for sure.:)
A Point also not unimportant, the "Production Quality" of this Devices (also like for (micro) SD Cards) is not the Same like for 5,6 Years.

If an HDD (with power Supply) is used, you have (nearly) nothing to fear and you have an Reliable Solution.
(if you have installed the correct cIOS,of course).:D

Thank you.:)
