Hardware What to do with unused battery?

I almost not using my psp anymore (bought vita week ago) and dont know what to do with battery? Should i charge it every now and then, leve it uncharged or what?

Uncharged rechargeable batteries are not good things to have, and various PSP models have a habit of getting a bit puffy and not working any longer. Equally as they are quite custom some models are getting harder and harder to find decent ones of.

So yeah stick a note on your calendar to just charge it up every month or so. Probably don't even need to do it that often but it is not going to hurt either.

If you have more than one Li-Ion akku (as the ones for PSP are), to preserve them as good as possible without unreasonable work:

  • load to about 2/3 capacity (about 60-70%) and store them in a plastic bag in the fridge.

Low temperature and above half-full charge will have the materials disintegrate slowest.
