Hardware What's the going rate for a 360 modded rgh/jtag 500gb/1tb console (these days, UK)?

Hi All,

Not sure, if this is a silly question, but trying to figure out what the average costs are on buying a 2nd pre modded unit, rather than going through all the send off and receive service (start at the bottom, plus time limits to do myself)?

Had planned to put a wanted Ad, but then realised, I don't actually know the 2nd hand market for these to put a budget on!

So, trying to figure out, what budget should I plan to buy a 2nd hand xbox360 with either 500gb/1/2tb with games already loaded off someone looking to get rid!

No interest in online service, just a plain modded one with room to add and delete games.

Hope its a valid question and hope the makes sense! Will be in a position to put a Wanted AD in then!

Based in Wales, UK

Cheers

Asking for one with games falls under warez.

Large hard drive is nothing too drastic either (though many will still go with USB) as JTAG/RGH are not limited by the same things as stock/DVD modded wherein larger drives were something of a rarity*. It is more than nothing but hey.

*in case you were not aware. 360 hard drives had to have a security sector (ss.bin in some circles) flashed to them to work with the 360. This then means original drives (the larger sizes rarely being sold standalone or in enough volume to get enough out there) or one of a handful of compatible ones (which did increase supply a bit) with said thing flashed to it. KK/JTAG/RGH family mods then quite happily ignore this requirement.

Second hand market for this sort of thing varies dramatically.
Some can barely give them away, others might get about that of a second hand 360 (also not a huge amount, though going up a bit as people realised "hey there are actually hundreds of good games on this thing" and there are not suddenly all the kids looking to trade up for a PS4 or xbone) and others still manage a slight premium over that.

If going for the original style then hold out for a Jasper motherboard (the last style made and any RRoD is going to because the hard drive died or a mod wire came loose, as opposed to the basically impossible to long term fix earlier versions).
If going for a slim then as long as it works it should be fine.

If you want to walk out there looking to flash some cash then I am sure you can get a nice slim, with maybe a couple of controllers (there are three broad classes of standard controller, wired, wireless and rotating/transforming dpad) and said large hard drive, possibly a nice DVD mod at the same time. Otherwise the supply of RGH machines (which for most intents and purposes are as good as JTAG, some might even say better) and RGH capable machines is considerable which keeps prices fairly grounded.

Cheers for this and as you mention, it can go a number of ways, I can pick up one cheap or go mad and spend loads!

I had hoped to do a budget between 50-100 and just hope for the best that the person had a good clean unit!

Bits included would of added or reduced my offer, but looking at the local online 2nds sales on the web they seem to hoover around 70-200! The 200£ is a little high even for a 1tb added (I think)!

Its trying to get a sweet spot and figuring out if a slim is the way to go!

I will check the local market today and if nothing comes up, I will put the AD in!

Cheers again

We had our grandkids over yesterday and I got a small above ground swimming pool I filled for them to play in. Well today I woke to find 3 ducks swimming around in it. Don't mind really but they are annoyingly loud, quack quack. Gotta drain it today. Guess what were having for dinner, lol.

I used butter instead of vegetable oil, and think that's why they squirted out during baking, who knows

plus if you're making brownies or lava cakes for people with dairy allergies, you should use oil instead of butter anyway

I make rum cake for 4th July every year, I make it a week prior and then soak it in rum in the fridge all week. I flip the cake each day, and add little more rum, it soaks it up everyday, so good.
