Good question. I wonder the same thing myself sometimes. A thread I made last year which I wont link to because it has since been locked has 5000+ views.

Not only is google watching, but the government is too. There is also a good chance that time travellers, aliens, cats and noctosphere are all watching.
Going by my alerts most days then dirty pirates.
I always seem to get alerts when my old posts about then newly released 360 games get found. As they were typically written up like a ROM site listing with warez scene names, NFOs posted, info on how to run them... but there never being any links/downloads they often survive culls by search engines* and thus appear fairly highly up in the rankings.
*if you want to go on somewhere like https://www.lumendatabase.org/notices/search?utf8=✓&term=gbatemp.net&sort_by= then most of the links there are false positives for such threads.
