Nope, it's literally GameCube emulation running nativelyI don't get it, is this supposed to be a joke?
Natively or emulation?Nope, it's literally GameCube running natively
Whoops, I mean gamecube emulation running on horizon natively, not through android or lakka.. hence the slownessNatively or emulation?
Than whats the issue, why so slow?
You need more resources to emulate a different resource. Just initially having more power alone isn’t enoughNatively or emulation?
Than what's the issue, why so slow if its native? Switch is more powerful than GC afaik.
There are no official GC emulators or emulated GC games afaikNintendo already proved emulating the GameCube with Switch hardware is possible. Don't know what the big surprise is about, other than the obvious clickbait title.
Super Mario 3D All-StarsThere are no official GC emulators or emulated GC games afaik
Nope. Super Mario Sunshine definitely did NOT get released for the Nintendo Switch. There are no official GC emulators or emulated GC games afaik
hos does not the switch hardware. android drastic runs perfectly. This dudes over here proud that he got a GameCube game to load.
Shit, my Switch struggles to play DS games.
ports?Super Mario 3D All-Stars
Already proven it wasn’t a port for those games. They’re emulated. With a bunch of custom code rewrites to make it work better in HOS.hos does not the switch hardware. android drastic runs perfectly.

A person aboive said, switch can already emulate GC and Wii games (mario 3D allstars (galaxy and sunshine) ) so if thats true than switch is more than powerfull if a good emulator exists. You need more resources to emulate a different resource. Just initially having more power alone isn’t enough
Look at the 3ds and it’s poor emulation performance and that system is much stronger than ones of the past.
The entire code of Mario Sunshine and Galaxy and All Stars is recompiled ahead of time (AOT). The iso is there yes, but it's only for assets. You could replace them to replace textures or sounds, but to modify the code (or run any other game) you'd need NERD's recompilation tool.all 3 tites use emulation
you can extract the n64 rom and the gamecube iso and run it in dolphin, i tried
im sure galaxy is heavily based off the nvidia shield version
but either way people could just inject random isos into it theres more to it
