Hacking Why does my 3ds sd card keep corrupting parts of itself?

It's extremely infuriating that my 3ds sd card seems to constantly corrupt sectors seemingly at random. It's not a low quality one, it's from SanDisk and it does the same thing with other microsd cards.

Sounds like you either bought a faulty card or your card has reached the end of it's life span. I would pick up another (they're very cheap nowadays especially if you go for 400gb instead of 512gb or lower). You could also try a triple full reformat (so not a quick format) and try again, but a new sd is probably best at this point

Uh, they're not fakes. And I said it does the same thing with others. I've tried the original one my 3DS shipped with from Lexar and my 64 gb SanDisk card

Check the card with H2testw.

Are you seeing the corruption when you plug your card into your PC? Because in that case I would blame your SD card reader, or your microSD adapter if you are using one of those.
