i have a sdd 2tb hard drive connected to wii backup manager and when i upload up to 18 games on it there's no problem with it and those games work fine, but when i try to add more it saves it with the partition '???' instead of G or UG and it causes the game to have no cover and when i try to play it, it restarts the wii. has anyone ever faced this problem, is there a solution?

Has the disk been checked to see if the actual (real) volume corresponds to the stated (painted on the cover) volume?
What controller chipset and NAND type used in this SSD?
Disk health (wear out) is within acceptable limits?
Update: This is to rule out the possibility that this particular SSD is not an SSD but a potato or ex-SSD.
Also: I hope you know that in the Wii Backup Manager settings you can select which partitions of the game disc image can/should be copied/not copied?

Some more info is needed.

What partition was used & sector size ?

Is it a single partition, or .... ?

Where/how did you partition you SSD ? (win or WBM - apps you used)
I've only used win apps (mostly Wii specific). I did use WBM for WBFS partitions only.

Brand name of SSD ?

Sure it's not a fake sized SSD ? (most obvious)

If you add more than 18 games, what happens ? (never saw "???" error)
Format your SSD with Fat32 GUI Formatter (windows) & add your games directly through windows to your proper game's folder. Never used SSD b4, but I don't see much difference compared to USB HDD's.
