So I temporarily gave up with my problematic Wii (one I was talking about here) after having no luck even with nand emulation, I think it might be a hardware issue.

Anyway, got a second hand virginal one, and softmodded it with ModMii, however neither WiiFlow or USB Loader will launch games. :/

WiiFlow goes black, starts a progress bar and then stops after about 15% dead and never gets any further. CFG USB Loader says Reload: Blocked... and then does the same.

But USB Loader GX is fine? Does anyone know why that works but the two things ModMii installed don't? I kind of prefer WiiFlow...

Also unable to load any GC games off USB in any loader, just get a black screen with those too. :/

Thanks for the suggestion, updated, still will only load Wii games via USB on USB Loader GX. :/ And won't load GC games in any of them.

about emuNAND :
There are two EmuNAND mode (cIOS and neek), I think Wiiflow has a setting to choose the mode you want, while USBLoaderGX works only with cIOS.
to work with neek, you need to setup your EmuNAND with neek2o.

I don't know if it's (was?) your issue.

on your new Wii:

About Gamecube, did you try DMBooter too?
Try DIOS MIOS lite and games on SD card to check if the issue if your USB or your program/games/setup.

I don't know why Wii games won't work.
Try a different hard drive if you can, users had issue dumping games and dumping process freezing, but it was fixed by using a different device.

It's maybe the same problem with Gamecube games. the HDD is maybe incompatible.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not using nand emulation at all. :/

This HDD and WiiFlow used to work fine on my old Wii, and they work fine with USB Loader GX (for Wii games) on the newer one, so I don't think the HDD is incompatible. It's only CFG USB Loader and WiiFow that won't launch Wii games from the USB, GX launches them fine. :(

I'll give DMBooter a try for GC games, thanks for that suggestion!

try a different hard drive (just to know if the drive is "now" not compatible anymore, or if it's your console/software which are preventing the games to work)

Just to clear up some confusion:

Works 100%
Wii + USB Loader GX + HDD + Wii games on WBFS

Broken
Wii + CFG Loader + HDD + Wii games on WBFS
Wii + WiiFlow + HDD + Wii games on WBFS
Wii + Anything + HDD + GC games on FAT32

So I don't think the HDD is the issue, especially as it works from USB GX, and it worked with WiiFlow on my old Wii.

Why don't give it a try?
Always try different things to narrow the issue.
Maybe the loaders are initializing drives differently.

If another drive is doing the same, then ok, I'll stop thinking it can be the drive.
