Hacking WiiMC is picky

For some reason, WiiMC only wants to play certain dvds. For example, it will play Spiderman just fine, but it freezes up when I try to play fantastic 4. They're nothin special, just your typical retail dvds. Is there anything I can do?

no nothing. updates might help or not.

Its the same with all Wii Media Players in my experience. Theres a handful of retail discs that won't play on each of them. I guess piracy does pay in this case, eh?

The application has to brute force the CSS key in order to decode the DVD, this can take time, so it's likely that this freeze is the wii trying to do that.
