I tested it nowSatangel said:I have 3 partitions on my HDD now. 1 NTFS, set as Active partition, for all my movies. This is the partition I use for WiiMC.
Then I have a WBFS partition, for my Wii games.
And I have a FAT32 partition, for emulators and WiiWare/VC. But when I want to run Triiforce, that FAT32 partition has to be the active partition! You can only have 1 active partition, so basically my question is:
Can I change the NTFS partition to not active, and will WiiMC still recognize the partition?
who ever does that needs to get out more?thevoiceover said:UranusKiller said:why dy'u need them small emulators with tiny roms to be on usb?
Well considering many people have complete sets for most of these systems, that is over 10GB alone and then any savestates, gameplay videos, etc.... Makes perfect sense to me to be on usb, I can't imagine copying 1000+ nes roms to an SD card, would take forever..

WiiMC will work and the parition will be recongized, but it looks like that it will delete everything on the NTFS parition! You can try it, but be careful and backup everything.
edit: OK it works now. I reformatted the NTFS Parition. Triiforce also works.

How did you change the partition to Active? I'm using Windows 7 by the way.

Turns out the partition must first be a primary partition, and then you can make it an Active partition.
And the FAT 32 partition (for Triiforce, needs to be Active) isn't a primary partition. Anyone know how to do that in Windows 7 64 bit?
I tried Googling, but all it gives me are applications that need payment, and I can't find a suitable download

EASEUS is your best bet for repartitioning drives as there is a free version thats complete enough to do so
all partitions can be primary but only one can be set to active, in the case of any USB ready homebrew(Media players, Emus, etc..) a FAT32 partition must be created first when partitioning your drive as most homebrew will only read the first partition in the table when it comes to having FAT32, it then must be set to primary and active remembering that only one partition per drive can be set to active which in all cases must be the FAT32
