Hacking Will a 3ds flashcart later be able to play 3ds roms?

I think I am going to buy a flashcart for my 3ds, but I know that 3ds roms can not yet be played on a 3ds. If i buy a 3ds flashcart now, will it be able to play 3ds roms, when they find out how, with a simple update, or will I have to buy an entire new flashcart?

Assuming one ever gets made, you will have to buy a new flashcart. As the current ones only support DS games and will never support 3ds games.

There are no 3DS flashcards, there are DSi flashcards that work on the 3DS. No DSi flashcard will be able to run 3DS ROMs, so you'll have to buy a whole new flashcard.

Because the security is quite advanced/hard to crack.
