Umm, that's exactly how they got the keys: by downgrading a New 3DS to Old 3DS firmware 1.0. It's glitchy as hell when you do that, but it works well enough to dump the magical "OTP". I did it with 2.1 back in November 2015.

Interesting that you were able to drop all the way back to 1.0...it was my understanding that 1.0 firmware was undumped.

Yup. N3DS is safe in terms of Emunand. The only reason Ninty was able to block it before was because of a hardware revision that hid some keys from us. So, as @Zidapi said, unless they bring out a new hardware revision, we are safe.

It's not so much that we know the keys, it's the fact that it would be very difficult if not impossible to prevent us from getting new keys should they change them again. Because of the exploits on existing consoles that can dump OTP and get the new keys again.

That 9.6 encryption that kept new3DS users stuck on 9.5? Yeah, we have the keys they used to generate that encryption.

I wouldn't rule out them having something sneaky up their sleeves, but for the time being we're invincible.

@Xdqwerty there is health behaviour you can add to your character, then to use a health bar is lil more complicated, google n watch a few tutorial video on it, be too hard to explain here.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the character has the health behavior
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I know you have to create a health and health max variable. Then there is a calculation you use in code to subtract width size of the health bar. Google few vids.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the "greenflatbar" is one of the preset health bars btw
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you can use any bar/sprite. It will just change the width. Ok good luck and have fun. I'm off to go shoot some pool at the bar. Talk to you later.
