thanks for replying. Unfortunately, none of these registry entries affected my mouse scheme. Even with the prevent reg I could still change the scheme. All other schemes work except (none)Hello.
Maybe this could help:

unfortunately the person who answered that question gave a pretty bad answer. They were talking about issues with the ACTUAL mouse and not the way it looks. I did try it and it didn't workI think he has the same issue as you.
Please try this,maybe it helps:

I'm not very good at explaining things so I used the step recorder to try and explain what I did. You can find it in the zip fileSorry to hear that.
Maybe something to do with this:
The pointer scheme appears to get reset when you apply a new Windows theme file.
Did you do something with that ?
I am pretty sure (none) is just Windows Default. When I go into personalise, mouse schemes, and set the scheme to (none) it stays as the default one. Every other scheme works perfectly
I am pretty sure (none) is just Windows Default.

yeah, that's how it should work, but it stays as windows standardYes, I edited my post
Anyway, it looks like (none) is working just fine. It's not the same as Windows Default, it's slightly different (it's actually Windows Standard)
Which is how it should work, right?
