According to ctrulib documentation here, double buffering is used by default. The only way this can be fixed is by creating a proper graphics accelerated GUI. :)
Ah, okie. Thanks for checking, I was just curious about it. It's the only "bug" I've been able to find so far. Keep up the good work! :)

The minor issues in the pre-release have been fixed, so here's a new release. :) The console flashes a lot less, and browsing should be faster.

Updated 22-02-2017 (0.4.10):
  • Fixed an issue whereby the console would flash whilst browsing files.
  • Files are sorted in alphabetical order. There is no option to change this currently.

Updated 11-03-2017 (0.4.11):
  • Fixed an issue whereby Opus files would be played at the sampling rate of the original file that was converted to Opus rather than at 48000Hz which is what all Opus files use.
  • Added support for Flac data in Ogg container.
  • Updated submodules.

I will not be working on ctrmus much for the next 2 months due to exams, etc. But I will be around to answer any queries and fix any issues that people find. :)

If you find this comment is it possible to make it go through the songs like a playlist? Or implement a feature to run one? Maybe im just stupid and didn't notice it... Anyways great job!!! Although for some reason 2 or 3 of my mp3s don't work.

Make sure they don't have tags with improper letters or symbols in them. Basically any characters not found on a typical QWERTY keyboard.

Playlist support will come in the future, when I pick up ctrmus again in two months after exams, etc. All MP3 files should be playing properly, so the fact that some of your MP3 files aren't working means that there is a bug in ctrmus. Could you send me a link to one of those MP3 files that aren't working via PM please? That way I can test your file and see what is going wrong.

I have opened an issue here to keep track of this bug. :)

ctrmus doesn't read tags currently, but it would be interesting if this is actually the issue.

Ok thanks for reply :) I attached "Hatsune Miku Soft - Hello How are you (haro hawayu) PV (English Subs)" onto this comment, if you find it works i'll try downloading the cia straight from your site instead of "titles.db". Thanks!!!

I think the name has nonofficial qwerty letters, I think gbatemp doesn't support mp3 uploading? Ill mess around with the name. If it still has no success ill put a link in. Thanks for reply!

You're welcome dude. Let me know if it works and what you changed. Consider uploading the mp3 file to a service like filetrip or google drive if you want me to test it. :)

wow, it works! the sound quality is not stellar though, even compared to my old smarthphone, but i guess there is nothing to do about that, such is the 3ds sound chip...

Any estimate on when playlist support will be added? I really want to listen to flac files but I don't want to have to click the next song everytime :(

We had our grandkids over yesterday and I got a small above ground swimming pool I filled for them to play in. Well today I woke to find 3 ducks swimming around in it. Don't mind really but they are annoyingly loud, quack quack. Gotta drain it today. Guess what were having for dinner, lol.

plus if you're making brownies or lava cakes for people with dairy allergies, you should use oil instead of butter anyway

I make rum cake for 4th July every year, I make it a week prior and then soak it in rum in the fridge all week. I flip the cake each day, and add little more rum, it soaks it up everyday, so good.
