This nice little GBA game was released in Japan some time ago, and I really like it. It's quite playable, so if you don't know a thing about tennis, you can still just pick it up and have fun with it. If you've ever played Mario Tennis for the N64, you'll know what to expect from this. Don't let the WTA title fool you, this tennis game is top notch.

Gameplay: This game is easy to simply pick up and play. It's very easy to advance through the first few rounds, but it gets harder and harder as you go along. WTA plays very smoothly, and it's highly addictive. I found myself wanting more, even when I started losing.

Visuals: The graphics are kind of nice, and very colorful. I never lost track of where the ball was going, because the makers made very sure that it was an eye-catching color. The rest of the backgrounds are nice as well. The players are animated nicely, and even look like the real life players (in a weird, sprite kind of way). Very nice, indeed!

Sound: The sound effects are nicely done. The smack of the ball sounds like music to my ears, and the music adds a tiny bit of excitement to the match, and definetly suits the game. It's not an award-winning soundtrack, but it's good nonetheless.

Fun Factor: If you've ever played Mario Tennis, you'll be right at home with WTA (I was). You'll likely find yourself getting into the game very easily. Sports fans (and especially Tennis fans) will enjoy this game too. If you're a sports fan, or a fan of fun, addictive games, you should give this a try.

Replay: The replay is ok.. I still go back and complete the game every now and again, because it is so fun to play, but there isn't much that can be unlocked (unless I've missed something). But, that's to be expected in a sports game. And I'm fine with that, since the game's Fun Factor makes up for it's lack of replay value.

Recommendations: If you're into sports games, get this game. You won't regret it. If you've played Mario Tennis and enjoyed it, you'll really like it as well. I'd also recommend this game to people who just don't like tennis. I hardly ever watch tennis on TV, but I love this game all the same. You might just feel the same way about it. Never judge a game by its cover, or you'll miss out on a lot of good experiences. Overall, I recommend this little portable tennis game to anyone who's into fast paced, exciting games.

This game earns 9/10!
