I'm at the Water Temple. I hate the Water Temple

That's the only reason I want this game. That's my favorite dungeon out of all the Zelda games. It was literally the perfect level for me. I want to see what it's like playing on the 3DS.

Am I the only one having trouble for fishing in this game? I've had numerous attempts with 18 pounded fish but for some reason, I cant seem to get them even near me. Im constantly pressing analog down and A, and then directing the line back and forth to counter the fish's movements but for some reason this only makes the fish go even FARTHER rather than closer to me.

Any tips?

Thanks

It also helps to stop reeling and let it swim for a bit, as soon as it stops, start reeling- on the N64 it took me a good 25 minutes to catch that fish!

? i have the skull mask and all he says is it looks like Dampe...

Edit: oh, wait...nvm

Guessing you realised skull mask -> skull kid, spooky mask -> grave kid? It's the Bunny one that used to bother me. Anyone else find that jogging guy a whole lot easier to spot in this version? On the N64 I could never find him when he was asleep, in this one he stuck out for miles....

I am just going into the forest temple as an adult, I have 35 gold skulltulas and have planted all but one magic bean. Forgot how wonderfully creepy the Happy Mask Salesman was! He should have his own spinoff game (like a road movie with him, Tingle and Navi *shudder*)

Just became Adult Link and got the chills again 5 years later when Sheik told me to go to Kakariko. First thing I thought of was "Well of 3 Features". Luckily, it's closed as an adult so I don't have to do it right now.

I also feel ashamed by forgetting that I need to put a box on a switch in Jabu-Jabu's belly to get to Barinade. I was looking for Ruto all around the belly after being the Big Octorok *facepalm*.

Completed it yesterday, no idea what the fuss was about with the water temple. I'm literally going for every chest in dungeons, all side quests, all gold skultulas, all heart pieces and no vision stone things. (No guides or help what so ever basically)

Main story: completed
Mask side quest: completed
Sword quest: completed

still need naryu's love and faroe's wind though :/

Finished it in 4 days, with 18 hearts, 60-something skultulas, mask quest and sword quest complete, all items except the ice arrows and 4th bottle (I don't even think I ever managed to get the 10 great spirits)

I just started Master Quest

Got the game yesterday but haven't been home to play as much as I want. I just beat the Forest Temple, but as soon as I turned into an adult I got the Biggorons Sword which is a bit more work when doing it out of order like that, but it was fun doing that for the first time instead of getting it later. Now that I have this I just plan on powering through the rest of the game and only grab things on my way to get to master quest ASAP and then I will go for a 100% run.

I beat the game a few hours ago, now I'm trying for a 100% complete, then I will repeat with Master Quest. I love this game.

I'm in the desert temple (master quest), allready finish nornal game with everything.

btw, i dont remember some parts of the game being so easy, i think they made minors modifications for the 3DS
plus one cool thing: now (or i didnt notice it on N64) you can see on the map if you got all skultulas or not: if you got an icon at the left of the area name you got all the skultulas for this area, same for the dungeon.

i just got to hyrule castle last night.

i had to redo the entire first part of the game (through the deku tree and cutscenes) because i thought the game had auto saves going on.

that kinda sucked.

i am almost as far into it as i was the very first time i played it back on the n64 before i got bored and quit.

i hope that i have more patience this time around.

i haven't finished a zelda game since the snes one.

come to think of it, i haven't finished any rpgs since then.

oh i forgot, it's a platformer...

rage much?

oh and you should've said: Zelda is NOT AN RPG!

you could've said: Zelda is NOT a Role-Playing Game, and that would've been fine.

Just saying since semantics seem to be worth arguing about.
