astrangeone's bento counter - leftover dim sum

This weekend was spent pretty much running around like an idiot and trying to get things done for in time for class. It doesn't help that I had several things to do for placement (applying for a "job") and trying to get my criminal record check done.

I had some leftover beef tendon and "phoenix claws" for dinner, and I decided to craft a simple bento for Monday, September 17. The beef tendon/phoenix claws taste spicy, rich (there's a fermented turnip in it), and really heavy.

I'm going to be out running errands until my single class on Monday, so this will be my fuel for doing so. It's heavy on the veggies and fruit because I don't want to be sleepy and dumb on my feet. (Also, no picks because I will be eating this in a food court - mall work!)

*Note to self - need more veggies - stop by the local farmer's market soon!

Minutes to Prep: 10 minutes.

Carbohydrates: Last of the eggy bear shaped rice.

Protein: two chunks of beef tendon, one of the phoenix claws

Fruit: blueberries, orange slices, and cherry tomatoes! (Don't they look weird? They were a find at the local farmer's market - they aren't sugary sweet, but have a floral taste to them!)

Veggies: slices of green bell pepper (I really can't stand red bell pepper, unless it's fire roasted to bring out the sweetness.)

Other: n/a (no treats!)

Decorative: no picks this time, I did not want to lose them!

Yup. Marinated in "something". It's a rich combination.

They will probably scare the pants off of people in the food court.

Yeah if you hold it up and go CAW! I know I would XD

I've only had it twice and its not so bad. I only dislike it because I own live ones and I know what they do with it hehe

Yup, I did! It is pure, undiluted awesome. (I'm going to be nerdy and wear it to school today.)

Thanks for getting a t-shirt and not a book otherwise I'll be over with the postal budget :yaypsp:
