astrangeone's bento counter - meatloaf and 'taters for lunch...yum!

gallery_232010_1512_2736.jpg

I've had an idea brewing in my head for the longest time, but whatever. I'd see if I can make it come together as a lunch.

Today's big trip to the official grocery chain in my town yielded - two boxes of Krave cereal (these will probably be snacked on all day), an English cucumber, a box of Saltines (I wanted a Lunchables style lunch in my bento), some grape tomatoes, some peanut butter, and a large pomelo (essentially, a giant grapefruit - very fun!).

Minutes to Prep: 5, diced and soaked the granny smith apple the night before

Carbohydrates: 'taters with onion powder and salt

Protein: ground beef

Veggies: onion (in the mini meatloaf), cherry tomatoes, yellow bell pepper (ick.)

Fruit: granny smith apple, diced.

Other: N/A

Decorative: single emoting face pick.

I have an extreme opinion about golden cherry (OR GRAPE) tomatoes; they are pretty good. I SAID IT.

I liked the purple ones that I got two weeks ago. :D These we so floral that they tasted of perfume, almost.

The golden ones are a lot sweeter than the purple ones. Yum!

I'm just waiting til you get a lazy day and its a picture of all junk food we all love :P

Very impressed with your healthy bentos!

Lol. I just had a lazy day. Ended up eating pizza and very little fruit or veggies.

You'd see some of the evidence for Monday's bento.
