Call of Duty is being attacked at too much

Over time and time people keep on attacking call of duty saying that it's not very creative, it's boring and all that stuff.
I think that this is poor judgement

You really need to try out the game till you make harsh judgements.
If you play it, it gets intense at times.

The point of the game is very nice.
The point of it is to have you having the feeling of being at war, using much of the same strategies that they used.
It also has great weapon strategy's.
Like in a war an army lost because their gun takes too long to reload, well you may lose a match because of the same fault with that gun.

Having a great time with your friends on cod.
What's more fun then hiding behind a car, waiting to shoot your best friend in the face?

People should think about cod better.
Maybe people will get abit better judgement

Anyone looking for a real FPS will think it's shit.

Why?
Because it's shit.
and no lol, it is not creative at all. It doesn't have a creative bone in its sad body.
All CoD basically does is combine pretty graphics with casualized FPS mechanics to create a terribly pathetic casual FPS experience.

Go ahead and enjoy it, but don't be offended when FPS gamers hate on the game.[/quote]
QFT!

Might I just add that all of you cod lovers shouldn't knock the Duke, bulletstorm, HL(series) and so on when you find them to be too hard.
It takes real gamers to appreciate those games.
Play the first cod, then tell me that MW2 is so fantastic.

I propose that the real fps gamers of the temp start a list of good fps games to help rehabilitate these atrophied young'uns.
No need to hate, just educate.

And honestly, Half Life has one of the best stories in video games. It's scary, an FPS that actually has a story to it, and a good one too. Halo has a good story too if you can get deep enough into it.

But Half Life is actually a hard game. I'm not going to lie, I had to use cheats in some levels (only near the beginning though). Once I got used to it, I didn't have to use them any more.

I've played MoHAA, Brothers in Arms RtH30 and all the CoD games, and here I am telling you MW2 is so fantastic.
My list of favorite FPS games goes like this:

1. CoD 2. Splendid game, requires loads of skill and I love me some rifles!
2. CoD MW2. Just played it for 2 hours straight. Very impressed with it. Expected it to be shit but it really isn't that bad, especially if you have some skill.
I can understand why some people hate it though, some streaks are way too strong and can turn the whole game around.
3. UT 2004
4. TF2
5. CoD United Offensive (expansion of CoD 1). Didn't age all the well and it just feels worse then the later CoD games.

To join in on the Call of Duty discussion, I used to be bitchy 'bout the games.
However, after trying out AlterIWnet, I actually like it. To be honest though, yes, there are better games out there that seriously kick CoD butt.
Like Mirror's Edge, for instance, in my opinion. However, that'd be comparing single player, though, because Mirror's Edge doesn't have multi.

I play MW2 via AlterIWnet too. How are you called on it?
I'm called Satangel there, closing in on prestige 3 now.

i very much love call of duty, but i can easily see why people hate it. MW2 has a lot of issues with game balance (and annoying little kids sending people quickscope match invites) and black ops has absolutely terrible graphics

Last year when MW2 came out, everyone acted like it they were married to it or whatever, and that I had to play it, so I tried it, and I was like:
"What's so superduper awesome about this game?" I mean it's not bad, but it didn't impress me at all, and to me it was nowhere near as good as everyone said.

i don't really get that either. most of the teenagers raving over MW2 probably didn't know what the first call of duty games were like.

The first sighting of "him" after the unforseen consequences really creeped me out.

I didn't cheat but I had to abuse quick save/load a lot.
I wouldn't hesitate to say the first Half Life is the best game I've ever played.

That's what creativity will get you.....
The story is brilliantly executed, but it only got really good in HL2,IMHO.

I found half life challenging, but not unduly hard. Unlike cod.
Which is unduly easy.

I have grown to dislike health regeneration, what ever happened to halo's regen shield and linear health? That was tension building yet it kept the pace up.

On a somewhat related note:
Nolf!
Look it up kiddies!

Mr. Moron, haven't gotten a prestige yet as I suck at shooters in general. Around rank 30 or 40, mostly due to playing in high experience servers.
