So here's the story:
At work today at the mill, I woke up feeling fine minus a sore arm. But I've had that for like the last month and i'm slowly getting used to it.
Anyways, at the mill we bundle up around 20-25 logs, depending on the size, so the boss with his loader can push it into the water. We also trip trucks in where the big trucks carrying the logs, come to us, and we bundle them too so they can be pushed into the water.
All was fine. Boss being a huge dick, making me and my friend sit out in boiling hot weather in the sun with no shade in sight. Same thing he's been doing for a while.
All of a sudden, right after lunch, my throat started hurting like a fucker. I thought it was just the dust on the dirt road because of the trucks and loader driving by. So I get home, about 2 hours after work, and next thing I know, my throat is killing me. It hurts to talk and shit.
And the worse part is, this is the fastest, and worse my throat has ever felt, and I can't even take time off work cuz of my sickness, cuz if I do, there's a good chance that I could get fired. And yes, the boss is allowed to do that because it isn't a union job, it's his own private mill.
So now I'm drinking some decaf tea and taking a flu pill and playing uncharted 2 on crushing to pass the time. hopefully it works.
