September Recap - Weirdness, fangirlism and more weirdness...

Outings/Trips:
- placement interviews in downtown university town (sheesh!)
- Queer Sex workshop in university
- farmer's market in university town! (yeah - cheap food, good food and great service. If I needed more honey, I'd definately check it out!)
- being dragged out to attend the local "bump and grind" fest in the university...sheesh, was hit on by oblivious guys and girls!

Exposures:
- heirloom cherry tomatoes (purple, floral, and not sweet at all)
- mango herbal tea (v. tasty, v. weird and v. hot! It tasted like a sugarless mango candy...)
- cola and 151 - This was smooth with a kick like a mean horse. I liked it, but one drink was enough to get me tipsy. I usually have cola and dark Barcadi rum - more chocolately tones, but this was much lighter tasting.
- Tiger Non-Alcoholic Malt Beverage - yum! Like a more chocolately beer. I would probably compare it to Guiness stout without the warmth of booze. I will probably pick this one up again - very good!
- a boilermaker drink (beer + a shot of vodka) - I think it could have been improved. Maybe make it a bloody beer kind of thing.

Finished...:
Watching:
- Big Bang Theory Season 2 - v. funny, and I'm starting to like Leslie Winkler. Funny as fuck!
- Species (rewatch)

Playing:
- Mario Bros (NES) - okay, this was hard. I really don't know how my cousins pulled it off on the actual hardware - it was fun and really silly too. I ended up downloading it off the eshop for fun.

Reading:
- The How of Happiness - a textbook for a fourth year recreation and leisure class. Pretty fun, and explains why people are mostly unhappy - they chase the wrong things!

Currently...:
Watching:
- Sword Art Online - very cool idea for an anime series. A new VR game is debuted, and it sells like crazy. Unfortunately, the creator is a little crazy, and prevents people from fully logging out by killing them via their helmets. To escape, someone has to beat the entire game. Pretty intense, and the main character isn't annoying as hell - he's more of an anti-hero, and he spends most of his time alone in the game.

Playing:
- Tetris Battle (Facebook) - this is too addicting, and beating live opponents is the best part. I've done crazy things with this game...

- Pokemon White (DS) - got the pre-release of Keldo from the local EB Games. Was surprised that Canada actually got a release of an event pokemon. (And I'm currently trying to level up my team - I have: Emboar, Serperior, Scrafty, Samurott, Escavalier...I need to find a decent electric type to add to thhe team.)

- Heroes of Ruin (3DS) - started another magic user on here - as the original one had a very fucked up skill tree.

Reading:
- nothing except for textbooks at the moment
- tempted to get Rowlings' new book, although it just seems like purple fucking prose

You'd think someone would have picked up on that problem in the beta.

Actually, the main character was a beta - the creator ended up blanking out that function on the start date of the real version...and yeah. Pretty gnarly.

It's a fun show to watch and cuss at, because the characters are pretty rich.

in the beta you could log out.

in the actual release, the log out function was removed and those who will shut the helmet down forcefully(unplugging/removing the helmet) gets electrified or something.
also die in the game means die in the real world.

i'm not satisfied with the amount of deaths SAO gives me at this point.

It's pretty intense, although. The deaths actually mean something to each of the main characters, and we usually don't see the deaths....
