It was a dark hour... I was nearly broke... starving... sick... tired... My cat kept begging me to feed him. I of course fed him. And I hate waking up before 10AM on weekdays... Uuuuugh...
Anyway, got up, ate food, went to work. It was payday the other day, but it looked like nearly all of my money (after gas and other essentials) was going to go to rent... Till the apartment manager reminded me I've been paying nearly $40 more then was necessary. It was removing my backrent faster (ooooh I'm so glad that stupidity is ending after next month), but it was more then the agreed on payment. So I was a bit better!
After work, I went to the local GENERAL ENTERTAINMENT/BOOK STORE to see if there was anything I might want with my new found cash. I had already decided to go FINALLY see The Dark Knight Rises (playing in the local dollar theater, woopie!), but that left me with $39 left over. I was browsing the used DS game section when my eyes spied an RPG game people have been recommending I play. Devil Survivor Overclocked. It was shrink wrapped in their usual "used" packaging. And it was 25% off as a result. I happily bought it, and to my surprise! It was brand new!
Someone in the store shrink wrapped a brand new game (with its own retail shrink wrap) and put it in the used section. Talk about surprising! It would be even more surprising if this hasn't happened before. I got LA Noir back in the day thinking it was used when it was brand new. I think the real surprise though was finding a brand new copy in this town. Anyway, I should get to playing it. I have no idea what I'm getting my self in to.
