Yeah, I've heard quite a few very shocking and disturbing tales of mental hospitals and how they're run, one of which was a first-person account. I don't understand who decides how these places are run, but they're either living in an era where you torture the crazy out of someone, or they're deliberately trying to make people crazier.

Ooh I also forgot to mention that I said and wrote similar shit in school and the worst thing that happened to me is being sent to an office thingy and being told that I probably shouldn't write/say stuff like that because "it's weird".

At the school I was at last year, you'd probably get in more trouble and have the principal tell your parents and a bunch of other stupid shit go down. I got in massive trouble for pointing a laser at the roof while waiting for an assembly to start, and I wasn't even the person who did it.

Wow, I thought that one the kid's grandparents shopped him for the heinous crime of writing a zombie story about his school ( http://www.theregister.co.uk/2005/03/08/high_school_zombie_threat/ ) was bad.

I have not bothered looking into the mental health system and schools interact there (I would say but you know...), though I shall have to be careful what I say I guess should I end up playing in that world.

Well, My friend had to go there, because she had the habit of cutting herself... She did that because she lost a lot of friends... because of alot of confessions too... (Dammit, why did I had to be one of those...)

Luckily you got 4 days, She got a WHOLE week in there, and now she stopped cutting because of that, she doesnt want to go there again.... (WHO WOULD?)

Sounds like taking the bleach could've been a better alternative to that place, and the olympics.

Real sorry that happened to you. Around 10 years ago I had a friend who had about a two week stay for what I want to say either actually or trying to take bleach or some automotive fluid. the whole experience was horrid. The only good story that came out of it was apparently some kid he was in with bit the head off of what I believe he said was an already dead bird. For a fucking Snickers bar.

Maybe yours was simply crappy, but not all of them are like that.
I was in one for a while because i failed to jump in front of a train (You propably shouldn't do that in such a manner that people can see what you are intending to do) and people were generally quite nice, tbh.
I mean, everyone around me was fucking insane, but so am i, so i got along with the people there splendidly.
It is quite refreshing to talk to a people who want nothing more than to jump out of a window, surprisingly.
I was surrounded by pessimists and nihilists all day long and i loved the arts and crafts part.
Sure, it was annoying that i was on watch day and night and someone was constantly checking on me to see if i would try to stab myself with a plastic spoon, but i liked the long walks and the feeling of constantly being heavily sedated.
Someone gave me the first book in the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett back then and i still cherish those books!
I mean... sure, i didn't actually stay to complete my therapy and sure, i ended up escaping and then returning to my mother who sued the hospital with all the blind fury and rage only a mother could muster, to have all my documents and diagnoses handed over so we could destroy them, but hey...

I KNOW i am insane and living with chronic depression is utter agony, but you know... i just fixate on electronics and coding day and night, so i really don't suffer much.

Did it cost your parents some money for the time you were admitted or was the bill all covered by the school?

I got only a call to my mom when I downloaded an origami project for a gunblade (from final fantasy) Idk what those mental retards in the east would of done for a goddamn origami schematic for a fantasy weapon but, I'm glad I don't live in the east....

@DarkRiolu264 Yup. Life is agony and anti-depressants don't work at all. They just make you feel numb and weird, not actually happy so i chose to be miserable, but since i can't do much about it anyway i simply only do things that bring me some kind of enjoyment, like my laughably big console collection and me studying IT-Journalism now, so i simply never have to do anything that ventures out of my comfort zone ever again.

This should be a lesson to anyone who thinks it's funny to make suicide jokes or tell people to 'kill yourself'. Suicide and mental health are very serious and anyone who jokes about them or uses them in such a flippant way deserves to be punished for it. Making a joke about suicide and then complaining that you were sectioned is like shouting 'bomb' in an airport and then complaining that you were arrested.

try poetry... its a way to express yourself without worrying about others thinking you're crazy... edgar allen poe was thought to be crazy like all misunderstood artists but, he became a legend in the poetic arts... let me know if i got my history wrong... english was never my strong-suit...
