I finally contacter CPO, let's hope

So yea, maybe some of you saw my earlier blog, about AliboxTV
In short, in september 2017, I ordered 1 year tv subscription for my roku device
In february 2018, the service has been shut down due to techical problem
I asked for refund, they said they were a small company and they can't afford refunding peoples
They offered me to buy THEIR media box for a reduced price. I refused, of course
Later in march, they told me their technician found the problem and it should be fixed in the next few days
Sadly, weeks later, it wasn't fixed. So I recontacted them
They offered me to transfer my service to another plateform or wait few more days
I refused and waitted few more days
actually, weeks, since I visited mom for 2 weeks.
When I came back, it still wasn'T fixed. So I recontacted them to put my service on my PC
They gave me a link to a tutorial about how to get it with Kodi
Sadly, it still wasn't working.
So I recontacted them. They helped me a bit, and finally gave up on me
Today, they told me they won't help me anymore since it is working for their others clients...
...
...
...
So I contacted CPO (Costumers Protection Office)
I hope I'll get a refund for being scammed
Because, let's face it, it was a scam...
I also hope for Alibox to pay for scamming me...
Anyway, for now, I'll keep watching Plex...
The only thing that sadden me, is that I can't view news on Plex :(

Oh no! Damn Scammers. its like paying for a stealth server on xbox 360 when ur 360 is hacked and no one really pays for it cuz its too expensive. So they dont play and ur lonely af.

@JellyPerson you do?
It's supposed to use SuperStalker

And btw, I received an answer from CPO.
In short, they said :
Heres some document and do whatever you want with them

well, it seems like I haven't said it in the blog or comments
But few days after calling them, I got an answer
In short they gave me documents and said "Deal with them yourself"
Soooo good protection for custommers right?

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

    but that's a long shot

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
