What's your opinion on the weebs vs english dub fan debate? The only japanese show i like is time bokan series Yatterman 2008 "without the subs" but the rest is dub only.

Despite the fact I'm probably classed as a weeb and enjoy anime and j-pop, I always watch anime dubbed if I can. This is because I like Anime for its art styles and its stories which are usually pretty deep or weird enough that you like them anyway. I don't see the appeal of watching a subbed episode personally, I prefer to watch it like a normal person would a movie or TV series, aka in our native language. I find that (Ironically, because others say the opposite) makes me feel more immersed in the show and I can understand what's going on without having to concentrate, or having Japanese voices I don't understand in the background.
I know some dubs absolutely suck and some dont exist, I just usually avoid watching those shows because of it or just watch the sub anyway if its worth it (I did that with Re:Zero and am now rewatching as the dub comes out, feels a lot better now).
However that said, I understand that everyone has a different opinion and that other people feel strongly about subbed anime and thats fine, you do you.

I don't mind Japanese voices (In fact I love their singing), it's just when I want to sit down and watch something I like it to be in my native language.

@Seriel Exactly,
I watch anime subbed only when the episode isn't available in french
As for tv series, I watch them in french too except The 100, since the voices sucks in french and the french version is censored as well

I personally always try to watch series in their original language. Except for Neptunia... the games destroyed that for me.

I hate how dubs seem to use the same pool of 10 or so voice actors. Plus to me it seems like English voice acting comes out as more "cringy" in anime.

Honestly, the whole subs vs. dubs debate is why I tend to just read manga. Character's voices always sounds more grounded and less cartoony in my head, anyways, and I have more control over the pacing of the story and can re-read sections as needed.

@snails1221 I don't really like that either (Although I sometimes find it funny to think of which characters are the same as others, and other times I dont notice as much), but after looking into some subs it seems Japanese voice actors have the same problem just with a bit more actors in the pool. Although I guess you wouldn't be paying as much attention to the voices in a sub, I still prefer to actually hear the words, even if that voice is the same as countless other chracters.

I don't really care about subs as fan subtitles are 99% of the time incorrect and has a curse word put in just for fun.

and they don't cast the same 10 voice artists, ok some shows have a few well known ones but some are not so well known.

Interesting question.
I currently use a "normal" PC, however from what I've seen of it I really do enjoy macOS, its a shame its tied to expensive hardware and any method to circumvent that is quite difficult. I'm perfectly fine with PC for now, but if I ever come into a large sum of spare money I may treat myself to a Mac device.
