Well, looks like my psychiatrist fucked me up

So yea, after 3 years of waiting, I finally got my meeting with a neurologist
He went in my case with my psychiatrist
he was like...
"Ok, psychiatrist used to give that for tics, but it doesn't really work"
You see, my psychiatrist gave me tons of pills
some for my tics, but they caused shaking (He called that Parkinsonism)
well, my psychiatrist again gave me more pills for those shaking
And today, the neurologist tells me that those pills for shaking don't works for shaking either
Actually, it was causing a decrease of an hormone in my brain, which cause shaking
And now, I learned that even if he removes those pills from my prescription
Shaking will keep on
So you see, I took those pills for about 3 years
On the advice of my psychiatrist
And now, I'll be stuck with Parkinsonism for the rest of my life...

Thank you my dear psychiatrist, for fucking my life up :(

@DodgyJudge trust me I'd like to... but I have no idea of how it works
or even if we could win this

There is no better way to try it out first with what you said it is against law to drug you with medication without veryfing or telling what it is or lying about what use it is you have a win rates of 79% since you got a problem related to those drug so be my guest and get a fucking attorney and fuck him up.

Because in the end your'e fucked already.

Wow... I dont know what to say...
I am angry about that ~ this guy should get his license removed!
I am so sorry for you, but what ever you do: never give yourself up or stop fighting!
Do not be scared, try to sue him, find a lawyer. Even if this wont work, you can say to yourself I tried Everything I could.

Keep fighting and hopefully get better

This is what happens when people accept pills from doctors blindly. Especially stuff like SSRIs, you should only take them until you are stable, then get rid of them and try to solve your issues through therapy. They're supposed to be a crutch, and not a cure. Take them until you don't need them. I'm sorry that this happened friend, it happens far too often.

@Attacker3 you say we accept pills from doctors blindly
but they have PhD, that's why we think they know what theyre talking about
I trusted him because of his grade...

As for those saying I should sur him
I don't know if I could
I mean, it's the words of a neurologist against those of a psychiatrist, who should be trusted the most?

@DinohScene ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?
LUCKY FROM HAVING THE PARKINSON?
omg...
in case you don't know, if it wasn't been told to me
at the age of 30, my Parkinson would have gone so heavy
I would be like those 80 years old people who can't stand up
take something in their hand, eat correctly
and do such basics thing...
I'm lucky to have met a neurologist who told me that before it goes too far
But lucky from having Parkinson?
Are you fucking serious right now?

It was a joke. It joins such ranks as "my doctor stuck a finger up my backside.... I am never going back to that dentist".

Back on topic. This does sound like it has the makings of a malpractice claim. I don't know the meds you were on, the conditions you have or the suggested uses and doses during the timeframes involved to say properly what goes, however this is why we have lawyers, doctors and investigators that specialise in this sort of thing. See if you can get your neurologist to summarise the events leading up to now and take that to a consultation with the relevant legal types.

Do an experiment. Stop taking your pills, wait a bit, and see if you continue shaking. That'll prove it.

@SirNapkin1334 I can't do that
I already did it in the past, and my body didn't take it
I was shaking internally, I don't know the word in english
but my body was asking for pills
like, as I said, internal shaking, headache, nausea, etc..

This is so bad. I’ve experienced a similar thing. I’ve been drugged against my will with pills (medicine, ha ha ha!) as a teenager. Sometimes with heavy overdoses. This is not a joke and not a topic for jokes! Now I don’t have full control over my facial expression and tremor in the hands.

Thank you, doctors.

3 years to see a neurologist? thats crazy.
when my brother got constant headaches for a week (which ultimately turned out to be caused by a root canal infection) it took like 2 days to get a brainscan and one more to have two people check them for irregularities.

is there no substitute for the hormone? and wont whatever gland produced it not recover at all?
while i know its probably just as scary an option, there are now pacemakers that are implanted into the brain used to combat parkinson tremors

apparently, theres some kind of solidarity between lot of job employees in Quebec
For exemple, a cop never witnesses against another cop
same for doctors. a doctor will never witnesses against another doctor

Also, according to my mom, the problem wasn't really my psychiatrist
I doubt he was malicious when he was giving me those pills
the one i should sue is the system
because it took WAY too long to get a meeting with a neurologist

if you have had waited for 3 years to get to see neurologist, then something is definitely not right in ur medical system in Canada.
There are many cases of patients got more negative side effects because of incompetent doctors, if it's document-able, try to sue ur ex therapist...for damage.
