I Dropped My PC Tower, It's FU*KED And So Am I

i was moving my pc tower from one place to another, i lifted as normal but the faceplate popped off and when it hit the ground it rolled like a fricken ball. I acted like it was nothing and casually turned it on but it just beeped, of course i unplug it to examine it. EVERYTHING WAS F*CKED. The whole case was bent and it was hard to slide off. The motherboard was also crocked AF and the cpu fan was big and heavy so it Fked that sht up too. The GPU was big and heavy, F*CKED, ram, F*CKED... The only thing that survived were two 120GB old 3.5in spinning hard drives, wires, power source and fans. For a big heavy rectangular object I have no clue how it was bouncing like that.

I started to use my PC to game again because had given away my switch to a less fortunate blood relative around New Years and now IM F*CKED. I dont plan on buying any console or replacement PC for a few years, if at all... This sucks.

my condolences, that really sucks. my brother is always moving his pc upstairs so he can record stuff without bothering us and I'm always kinda afraid he might drop something accidentally.

as for why it was bouncing, i assume it didn't really hop, but more like flip on the edges a bit.. basically, same reason why dice roll. you have a large mass, it unfortunately gets a bunch of potential energy from the fall so it wants to stay in motion.
and if the heavy part inside gets lose somewhere inbetween, it might've toppled the thing one more time somewhere in there.

I was moving it further away from the window because I didnt want to be cold. I carried under its front and back like anyone would logically carry it and the front ripped off, it was basically a faceplate. I was walking with it and im guessing that momentum caused it bounced (it was top heavy), it luckily didnt crush my toes. I really shouldve taken pictures but it never crossed my mind to do it.

Might I suggest: https://www.corsair.com/ca/en/Categ...-Gaming-Case-—-Military-Green/p/CC-9011018-WW Comes with carrying handles, and comes in black if green isn't your thing. I can say from experience it's tough, I have literally beat the fuck out of mine. It's got so many dents and bends and looks like I threw it down a set of stairs (at times I want to) So yeah I think this is quite possibly the toughest case out there. Also an all-in-one cooler is what I'm running (corsair H60) the entire time this case has been getting abused. The radiator mounts to the case and since the case is so solid it seems to handle the abuse.

That's rough man. My tower has a handle, but I still never take it anywhere because it's so bulky and heavy. I do have a spare Gamecube I could send you I guess, but the games tend to be fairly pricey nowadays...

"like anyone would logically carry it "
That's the thing no one with a bit know how would do it. 90% of all faceplate aren't connected to the case with screws but clips. Not exactly the safest thing in the world Hence never lift a pc by the front .
