So.....
I have started to put plans in place for building an AIO PS3. I have acquired a PS3 Slim (CECH-2003) and will be running ReBug on this.
As part of this I have stripped the console down and cleaned the dust out of the heatsink and fan. The Thermal paste is being replaced too.
So how is this an AIO? Well, I have also ordered the following bits as part of the build:
Corsair Carbide 50 case
Laptop display controller card with HDMI, AV, and VGA connectors on
2 PS3 Controllers
PS3 AV Lead
Sata Cable Extender
I am going to be mounting the Laptop Display on the inside of the PC Case with the PS3 connected to it via the AV Cable. I am going to run a HDMI extender from the HDMI connector on the PS3 to the back of the PC Case to allow me to output to a TV if I want. The HDMI Connector on the Controller card will be setup with a second HDMI Extender to allow me to use the display as a second screen for my PC.
The PS3 will be running on a 2TB drive and also have Retro Gaming options
