Had a bad day and no one to tell

As the title says I had a bad day and no one to tell it to so I figured I'd post it here. Anyone else had a bad day? Feel free to post might make you feel better.

My day:

Woke up at 8am and ate my usual breakfast of cereal and milk and headed out to work. Part of my job is using a drone to inspect roofs of houses I repair for a living. But today I forgot to check for crosswinds and my drone got blown into a tree several houses away and I couldn't find it. Afterwards I was painting part of an ac units base that had rotted away and bent down to look from below to ensure I got all of it and got paint all on my face and then all over my back as I jerked back trying to get out from below the ac. After a few more hours of work I finally got sometime to relax so I went fishing and didnt catch anything and ended up losing a line to a dock when it somehow lodged itself in between 2 planks at a perfect angle so that you couldn't pull it out without bending the hook. Poked myself a bunch with the hook before just cutting the line. After a few hours I went home and sat down planning out what to cook for dinner, I'm a big pasta fan so I set up my pasta boat which let's me make pasta in my microwave. And was happily planning out what tea to drink along with my dinner when I started pouring out the pasta into the boat and a roach about 2 inches long fell out the bag and into my pasta boat. Mortified and after a few curse words I began to chase the little bastard when it hid behind my stove and is probably still there laughing at me. I then had to go through my pantry and toss out most of my pasta, flour, and rice reserves for the which I use to basically live for the next few weeks till payday because roaches or rats or both had eaten holes in most of the boxes and bags. Which leads me to now as I'm posting this all in all not the worst day but a pretty annoying day. Let me know if you've had days like this.

It can be seriously frustrating when almost everything in a day just seems to go wrong. And while there are varying degrees of piss poor days, they’re all annoying regardless.

You've just got to try and not sweat the small stuff and remember that tomorrow can be a better day.

Hey, it could be worse. You could be disabled and get told two days before Christmas (a day before your birthday) that you might have cancer and you’ve got a big family gathering to organise, a ridiculous amount of food to organise and cook and a kitchen to finish painting before anyone shows up.
But, you’ve just got to find a way to look on the bright side and find the good in things wherever you can :)

Yeah I know things could be way worse used to be a nurse and one of my patients was told on his 18th birthday that he had ALS and would be paralyzed from the neck down within a few years. I just used this more as a vent and less of my life sucks kinda deal.

I am truly sorry to hear about your sucky day. I've had my share of those. Unfortunately, it seems the older we get, the more of those we have and the few people we have to share them with as our families all die off leaving us alone.
Disabled Vet/Been there done that bought the T-shirt, owned the concessions, sold the franchise.

Keep talking about it though, when it comes to pain, talking with others cuts then pain in half, sharing joys increases the pleasures as well, works both ways. Just remember, we get more of what we focus on, Acknowledge it and let it go. Yeah, you probably knew it already, & just needed reminding but sometimes it's easier said than done.
You can't always control what happens to you or who's around you but you can control how you respond (not react) and what you feel about it, Laughter is truly the best Medicine.
Have a Great Holiday

Ouffff rough man.... keep in mind once you hit bottom the only way is up. Sometimes the world takes a piss on you, its happened to me as well....

That being said....."I'm a big pasta fan.....let's me make pasta in my microwave." BLASPHEMY!!!!!

Also if you put a few small branches of laurel in the pantry it may help keep some nasties away

Hello.
Listen... if you have troubles with mices and roaches, here's a tip that's been used in my country since ancient times.
Do you happen to have black beans?
Grind some dried beans, by some I mean like 1 pound and by dried I mean fresh out of it's package, non cooked.
Mix that bean dust with a little bit of sugar, and any rat or roach that happens to eat that dust (because of sugar) will die. This is because Black beans cloges their stomach and intestines and they'll just die.

For roaches, get some lavender, it can be either the petals of flowers or detergent with lavender fragance, clean your house with it and roaches won't get near. If you happen to indeed get lavender petals, make an infusion and clean your house with the liquid.
I don't know why this happens but it's something I use at home to keep roaches out. Extremely effective.

I live in a second floor, so I do not have to worry about rats.

I'm so sorry, this sounds indeed like a shitty day. But look on the bright side: After this, it can only get better, right? By the way, fishing seems like a great hobby.

Have a happy New Year!

Bad days are uh, hehe pretty common yeah but sharing them with people definitely helps- that is, if the people who you share your problems with can even handle you =w=

@Stwert Jeez man I really hope everything goes well, sorry to hear that :(

@MicmasH_W Cheers, but I always look on the bright side of things, yeah I have nerve damage thanks to a sodding accident, but I was about an inch and a half from being dead, so it could have been worse. As for the rest, ppfffftt, I'm Scottish, it'll take mair than a bit of cancer to stop me :D Besides, I might be fine, the worst bit is not knowing.

But as I said to @jahrs you've just got to try and find the good things in life, the things that make you happy. Find something or someone who really makes you laugh, because laughing really does help you feel better. And sure, come to places like this to vent a bit - sometimes getting things off your chest, even if you're just shouting at the world (though I recommend howling at the moon, literally) can make a difference.

Bad days come and go, remember the good ones and the bad will disappear into insignificance. As Eric Idle says, always look on the bright side of life, da da, da da da da da da :D
