I bought my first car!

Today marks the day I bought my first car! I did not expect to buy a car today, but it just kind of happened.

It's a blue 2003 Chevy Impala with a 3.4L V6. It only cost me $900!

3.4L V6, I guess you will be spending a lot of money of fuel with that engine.

In UK most people that buy a first car buy something that's smaller and cheaper to run. However I guess because you're young and now have a sense of freedom, the price of fuel and upkeep doesn't matter too much. Enjoy & have some fun.

Not bad not bad.
Few rusty spots but you can get rid of that with sandpaper and bodyfiller if you're a bit patient.

How's the engine?
No gaskets leaking?
Gearbox fine?

Enjoy your car mate!

Pffh. Get on my level with my Red Volkswagen Jetta 2015! I only wish the hood could slide off and I could be experiencing tropical, romantic drives full of A E S T H E H I C S like these:

Just replace the audio from that with this sexy remix:

All kidding aside, congrats on getting your own car. You can go wherever you want now, and do more by yourself, for yourself, and those you truly care for than ever before!

Speaking from experience!

The funny thing is, I can't even drive it on my own yet lmao. I have my learning permit, so I can drive with an adult. I'm working on getting my normal license.

@DinohScene the engine runs great. There's a small oil leak, but I can fix that. Cylinder one is misfiring, but I can also fix that. Could be the spark plug or the spark plug wire.

Congrats, OP! First car, awesome. Concern yourself with condition of brakes, tires, and engine/trans, in that order. Ability to stop is more important than ability to go, and the tires are the only thing that are touching the road, so brakes and tires need to be in good shape. Don't worry about cosmetics ... that first car is just to get you accustomed to driving, i.e. climb the learning curve. If you're in a minor accident while learning, which is somewhat likely, well that's why you didn't get something more expensive. Plenty of steel cage there to protect you, too. Drive safely, learn swiftly, upgrade in a couple years.
