Hmm, well my experience of halls last year leads to me to agree with 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7. Halls were shite.
Fricking glad i moved out of them.

hmm i wouldnt know about any of that stuff... when i was in uni i didn't live on campus i was close enough to drive from my apartment and my gf always had dinner waiting when i got home...

Those only apply if you come to college straight from HS. I'm 24, after 6yrs in the Marine Corps. My college isn't like that... except for the various forms of pizza rolls... my gf is around as she's finishing grad school.

We've got a bathroom sink inside the room that's barely enough to fit two cups in.

1) You are standing at the sink with meal because you don't want to wash your dishes later
Something I do to this day although normally only for cake. Substitute for kitchen roll as necessary.

2) You have several different flavours of the same type of food in your freezer (eg. Pizza Pockets, lean pockets, frozen veggies, perogies)
I am not really one for freezer food but I fail to see the problem/difference, variety is spice and he who controls the spice and all that.

3) You think any food that's in bar form is the food of the gods.
Last time I found a box of those compressed fruit bars it was buy shares in TP company time. You can keep your cereal bar nastiness though.

4) You start craving home cooked meals
I will have to disagree as I have/had a wok when I was there.

5) You start thinking about the different ways you can KILL your roommates without them suspecting you
Is devising a way to kill everyone in the room not standard protocol for entering a room anymore?

6) You think that video games are mandatory for your sanity
I had my laptop stolen about a week after I got there leaving me with 3 bad or nearly completed GBA games to play (yes people 32 megs on a cart was an acceptable size back then). Suffice it to say restraint on my part was difficult.

7) You rather have a giant unfinished cup of flat soda, than buy a new bottle
I suffer from old man stomach when it comes to fizzy drinks so I do that anyway.

8) You steal condiments from your cafeteria to use to cook with. (I have thousands of pepper packets in my room now...)
If you ever caught me in a cafeteria it would be because I was about to slip poison into the food of someone. Still such places do keep my supplies of portable salad cream topped up.

9) You substitute booze for food, at least once...
That is a feature of university now?

10) You think that your girlfriend is crazy for liking the dorms
Their only redeeming feature of halls for me was blisteringly fast internet (near LAN speeds when the rest of the country had broadband but at speeds barely faster than dial up (256Kbit and the like)).

Makes me feel better about not living in a dorm.
