I Played the 3DS :)

Dear Tempers,
Today was a great day :)
I played the 3DS :S It was awesome...

In brief
SSFIV: I found it not a good as its hyped up to be, though the graphics were great.
Link OoT: Brilliant easy to pick up and play, intuitive controls, didnt get to play much but was really fun. It also does a really cool thing where your using the slingshot the gyroscope controls it.
Nintendogs+Cats: Lots of fun the 3d is amazing, I through a boomerang and actually jumped when it came flying back and the way to interact with the pets is heaps better now.
AR Cards:Not sure what card i was using but it was really fun and extremely accurate
Face Raiders?: not sure if thats what its called but that was really cool you take a photo of a face and you start shooting it and it then tries to attack you, then someone had played it b4 me so then their face came up and i somehow saved it?? anyway it was really fun.
Mii Maker: It was okay the face thing was funny and theres more customisation but its okay...
Camera: The camera is AWESOME it feel like your looking through a window it was fun

I made a video its pretty bad quality and they wouldnt let me have it on while it was on because aparently stupid people might look at it and be like 'Hayy dats nooot FweeDee'.... Anyway had to be quick they didnt really like me videoing it

I also noticed the buttons at the bottom were not capacitive but were the ones like you get on cheap nokia phones with the rubber on top i asked them if they were going to change and they said probably as this was only a dev kit. (also there was a dev button or something on the home menu and i clicked it and it went black and asked for a dev key ?)

Also ask me questions and i will answer them :)

Well, I've tried out the 3DS too, and well, you're right SSFIV isn't as good as I would expect. Maybe because there isn't much difference with the console version. The 3D is still awesome though. Didn't get to try OoT yet, but what do you mean by gyroscopic controls? Like, with the iTouch?

yes it has a gyroscope which can detect like if you spin around and stuff and it also has an accelerometer also.

Wooh, really? Don't think there were gyroscopic controls in SSFIV, guess I didn't notice. Gotta try OoT as soon as possible then =P
Oh, and if you were to buy a 3DS, you'd buy it when it's in English, right? Since it's region-locked and all =O

Well...
I did notice that the nintendogs game I was playing was the Japan version though it was an english 3DS though it was a dev version soo I guess they would be region lokced

In English? Then it must be a debug unit, since it's only coming out in like 20 days. Doesn't the 3D make you feel kinda nauseous? It does on me, so I'm just wondering.

I played Nintendogs + Cats on a 3DS at EB games in Brisbane city yesterday, was pretty cool although at first it was tricky to grasp this concept of it and holding it at the right position.

I have the 3DS and enjoy it, I see you didn't try out Samurai Warriors you may want to give that a try sometime. Really mindless fun and it gets better once you beat the game as you get to choose your characters in any mission.

Uhmm... those buttons below the touch screen will be physical. Faarrr too late in the game to change stuff now.

How 3D was the 3D? was it like eye-popping or was it just blurry sometimes poppy 3D?

EDIT: One more thing. How many megapixels is the camera? Since it's like a window does that mean its crystal clear? like say equivalent to the camera of a Nokia N8, E7, HTC HD, whatever camera with 8 megs or more?

? Cameras are .3 megs. I think the two cameras on the outside work as a .6 megs cameras base on
people saying the pics are better.

Eeh i played the 3DS too. Had some headaches after playing it so i guess no 3D for me.

For around 30 minutes.

From what I've heard, the time that you can spend with the 3DS really depends on how strong your eyes are.

If you can stare at a computer monitor for hours (like me), you can probably see the 3D for an hour or more.

This is what worries me. A lot of people are saying they get headaches, nausea, dizziness etc after playing. A lot of the reviews I read complained about it too. I think I'm definitely going to try it out before buying it.
