Oh Cartoon Network, what did they do to you?

Remember when Cartoon Network was good? With all the kick-ass shows like Dexter's Laboratory, Samurai Jack, Courage the Cowardly Dog? Now they have fucking shit on, like Problem Solverz, Gumball, and other dumb crap. From what I read, CN had good shows on in the 90s and from experience, the early 2000s. What are your thoughts on Cartoon Network?

Worst show ever: The Hole In The Wall.

Anyone like Generator Rex ?

How dare the cancel Sym-Bionic Titan. That was pretty good. >.>

Cartoon network isn't completely lost.

Tho I don't care if The Problem Solverz was thrown off the face of the Earth.

Generator Rex is pretty good. One of the few shows left that I like.

It only make sense that they canceled Sym-Bionic Titan. Lately they seem to have a knack for canceling shows that are pretty good. I liked Chowder and they canceled that. They also pretty much stopped showing any good anime till late at night and even then it's hard to find.
Strange that no one has mentioned Regular Show.
Ok, that pretty good.

What about that MAD thing they put on there? It robot chickish.

They screwed up when they started showing too many non-cartoons. At first it was a few live action movies like Space Jam and Who Framed Roger Rabbit, which were also part cartoon. Then they started showing the live action Batman movies, which made sense since Batman is also a cartoon.

Now they have original live action shows. Wtf?

@jumpman: Why is Samurai Jack not on your list? :(

Adventure Time is awesome. But that's it.

I think, among taking away our most loved cartoons (which are better than today's, and that's without bias), they also took away their "special" days, usually Friday. The special days were the days in which all of the popular cartoons of the day received scheduled new episodes; the day, being Friday, you got to stay up late and watch the new episodes of Ed Edd and Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Johnny Bravo, Dexter's Laboratory, what have you. It seems Cartoon Network is removing child-like nature from...children haha. All of the cartoon channels I know have done this (Nick, Disney). Thank god Nicktoons and Boomerang exist.

2004 is when Cartoon Network died. The remaining good shows were removed. It's kinda funny because me and my friends were just discussing this very topic earlier.

It was my favorite channel when I was younger. I loved all of the cartoons. But after a while I slowly stopped watching as the cartoons became more boring.

Everyone is sure the era they were growing up in had the best cartoons. I remember when I hit the period when shows went from He-Man, Thundercats, and Inspector Gadget and sat around thinking "Man, cartoons used to be so much better than this" around the time when the shows you listed were coming out and kids were into Power Rangers rather than Ninja Turtles.. And when they grow up, the kids who are 7-12 now will be going "Man, what's with all these shit cartoons, what happened to awesome shows like Problem Solvers and Gumball."
