Braces suck

I got braces a couple days ago and I think I'm going starve. I can't eat shit without my braces getting like a 50% cut. I've been eating soft things for like 3 days now, my front teeth are still sore so i can't bite into a sandwich or anything yet. Mah bagels are waiting in the fridge for me. I shall get them in a couple days. Nom nom nom.

Ice cream and grapes so far are my favorite. Mash potatoes are yummy. Last night, I was starving cuz I didn't get to eat most my dinner so I woke up at midnight and made some Mac & Cheese from a box. Tastes better at night.

What foods did you eat when you had braces? I need suggestions.

I got the hell over the pain and just ate normal stuff from the first day

The first day you will suffer but if you are being whiny about you will never get used to the pain... so just eat normal food and man up >_>

Yeh if you eat normal you get used to the pain straight away and it's so much easier :P

Eating just soft foods is boring and makes the pain last longer

Yeah, I know the feeling.

Trying to eat a sandwhich = hell.

Soup, noodles, milkshakes, some forms of pasta, orange-like fruits. Ehh that's all I can think of from the top of my head. Not had them in for about 4 years.

After a week or so. I could eat anything. (even nuts)

i've had them for 2 years. you will get used to them :D

besides, i went all out in eating after the first week.

but if you want to know, i had some rice porridge.. lots and lots of them.... >_>

You do know the pain comes back when they continue to tighten the braces each time right? Just start cutting ANY food into cube pieces. Substitute your front teeth with a knife and fork... cut the food so only your back teeth are just able to chew and such. If you eat soft, you stay soft.

    Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
