What to do? Sell my 3ds for a vita?

Hey there, lately I am slowly gettig hyped for sony's psv... I never was a Sony fan before but yeah you know... >.>

right this is my current situation: i have a 3ds with many games. Both on card and on my console. I clocked about 500 hours in 1/2 year.

My problem is, the coming few weeks there's nothing for the 3ds that comes out... So my question is should I sell my 3ds and buy a vita? Then after my birthday I can directly buy a new 3ds! I need serious answers. :3 not like moaw nintendo suckzors and sonys pwntz just why I shouldn't do it!

Thanks,

Langin

Edit: my plans

1. buy a new white 3DS since I want one.
2. sell my ugly blue 3DS
3. buy a Vita
4. everybody is happy!

Why not wait until after your birthday to buy the vita if you're going to end up with both anyways?

Just save up a little more. Keep all your games and stuff.

The problem is, if I sell my 3ds I will have enough money for a vita, when I don't sell my 3ds I won't :'(

Sell handheld with not alot of games and NDS backwards compatibilities with flashcart for a more expensive system with less games. Yeah. You thought this out.

Do whatever you want. Why should you rely on us?
You're going to get fanboys who will beg you to choose the Vita and you're going to get fanboys who will say "pspvta suxx loll"

But no-one reads blogs anyway.

You do :hah:

I like to ask around what others think of my ideas. Because I must admit that I'm not that smart and I like to rely on others.

Well I may be a bit smart though but when it comes to money things I am blonde...

Keep the 3DS. There's no point getting the Vita RIGHT at launch for the few games it has. Wait till you can afford it and buy it. There'll probably be more games out by then, and you wont be screwing yourself out of future fun 3DS titles.

The Vita isn't going to have an amazing launch (i doubt it anyway...)

I'd probably sell your 3DS and put the money in a Vita fund....then wait. When the price cuts and games come you're then in the best position, and in the mean time just use a different console.

I would just wait to buy the Vita. I plan on buying a Vita myself but I'm gonna wait a couple of years before doing so. I made the mistake of buying my 3DS 2 months after launch so I basically had 1 game to play at the cost of 250 dollars. Wait till some games come out and perhaps a price cut.

Keep your current 3DS and wait for a vita price drop, with the way the system is selling it shouldn't be long.

Do what I do when deciding these kinds of things in life.

1. Do I REALLY want any games on that system or am I just being greedy?
If no- Its done right there. I dont need to buy it....yet :3

If yes-Did I pay the same price for the console im selling? and could I get the needed amount for it and maybe some games for that console im selling?

If yes-Ok Ill buy it then :D Ill just get my other console back anyway :D

If no-Do I want to save for this console or are there other cheaper things I would rather buy?

If Saving-OK I better start saving :D

If Other- Eh I guess I can wait.

That should atleast help you get your thoughts straight

well i've had a vita for 4 days. i'm definitely not a huge fan of the 3DS. i'm not a fanboy, just i don't own one because i don't want one yet. i was very disappointed in it as a console - it's so dated.
but i can tell you that though the vita is an amazing system that even improves upon the PS3 operating system in many ways, your 3DS is probably worth it enough to keep.

just for the fact that it runs flash carts, and future revisions of 3DS systems might not be backwards compatible to prevent this, and you have all your games.
you obviously love your 3DS, and what if you end up being disappointed with the games released on vita?
you will absolutely love the vita iself though. moreso than your 3DS. it's just too beautiful. i mean as an operating system. it multitasks like a beast.
but nintendo seems to be your thing. i say it isn't worth it until there are games you must have on the vita.

oh and:
The Vita isn't going to have an amazing launch (i doubt it anyway...)
the launch was certainly better than a few other systems i remember.
we just needed littlebigplanet and gravity rush.

Keep the 3DS, and save up for the Vita. I'm waiting till April to get the Vita, due to Disgaea 3.

Keep the 3DS, it's not a great idea to sell games and consoles/handhelds as you get significantly less from how much you bought it.

Usually when such a big title leaks the Temp will be the first to report about it (going off of historical reports here, Pokemon SV being the latest one I can recall seeing pop up here)

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Mostly why you never see TV manufacturers going post 60hz

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Damn, only $2.06 and free shipping. Gotta cost more for them to ship than $2.06
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
That's where stremio comes to play never got a letter about it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just use a VPN, even give him my login and password so can use it also, and he refuses, he's funny.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I had to find and get him an old style flip phone even without text, cause thats what he wanted. No text, no internet, only phone calls. Old, old school.
