Didn't we have a nice time?

Hello all, sorry for taking a bit longer than usual, it was a busy time with the job, and now it isn't.

Let's start with the bad news I guess, the job I may or may not have mentioned has come to an end for the time being. Yesterday I was told that due to a lack of orders and a lack of drivers that I have been let go due to the union rule of the last in, the first out. Apparently I may only be out of work for a week or 2 so I will be trying to enjoy myself and think fuck it, lol.

So anywho with the job I managed to buy a whole bunch of gaming junk, went to Goodwill and managed to get myself an Xbox 360 Slim with 3 controllers for 50 dollars, which to my amazement seems to be fully working, the only thing not working was a black controller that came with it but i decided to swap the shell with one of the junky looking white ones and managed to get the best of both worlds with it. Luckily enough for me the console came with Forza 4, and despite having a bad opinion of the series due to the original I played on the original Xbox, I found 4 to be quite enjoyable. I also ended up taking advantage of Best Buy's second hand titles for the Xbox 360 which allowed me to get some games as cheap as 10 bucks, these included Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Burnout Revenge, Star Ocean 4 and Halo Reach. The title that has had the most play from me so far has been Burnout Revenge, so far it has been a solid arcade racing fun which after 10 or so years i will finally see to the end, lol.

Retro buys, this month I managed to find Tetris Attack on the Snes, Tetris DX on GBC and Game and Watch Volume 3 on GBC and Dragon Quest 3 for the Snes and WWF Wrestlemania 2000 on the N64, Ridge Racer Type 4 on the Playstation and Okami for the Wii. I was pretty chuffed with the finds, some great stuff there I have yet to dig into really.

Other buys I managed this month included Wind Waker HD and Majora's Mask 3D due to them being on sale. MM3D I have found to be a fantastic "remastering", it has fixed so many issues I had with the original game and the controllable camera is a fantastic addition to the game, so far I found it so much easier to get into this one than the N64 original.

Something that is bound to make EMP Knightmare smile, I tried out the The Legend Of Zelda - Triforce Heroes demo when it was live, soon found out that the game can be brilliant fun when you have a decent team on your hands, when you have a bad time prepare to have an awful time. I think i will end up buying it sometime as I would love to play with good men like EMP Knightmare but I need something for the Christmas list I guess.

So Amiibo news, this month I have managed to get all the Yarn Yoshi Amiibo and the Mii Fighters, next month we should see Animal Crossing Amiibos, Mega Yarn Yoshi and Mewtwo, so that should prove to be an expensive month, lol.

Anyway I am going to get to relaxing, I will catch you later, byez

@Xdqwerty there is health behaviour you can add to your character, then to use a health bar is lil more complicated, google n watch a few tutorial video on it, be too hard to explain here.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the character has the health behavior
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I know you have to create a health and health max variable. Then there is a calculation you use in code to subtract width size of the health bar. Google few vids.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the "greenflatbar" is one of the preset health bars btw
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you can use any bar/sprite. It will just change the width. Ok good luck and have fun. I'm off to go shoot some pool at the bar. Talk to you later.
    +1
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why does the health behavior exist if you can just use a variable?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
and nope the number still doesnt change
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
ok im gonna make my own asset
