Digital Nametag updates:

This is too long to make as a profile post, so Blog entry it is...

My NodeMCU build gets a prototype update:

Shell is fully printed, and very flawed. The new shell (v1.0) has been designed and is currently printing, fixing several flaws in the Proto shell. (Proto shell shown below)

The NodeMCU draws about 0.02 Amps of power. It's completely overkill for this project, and might just become my *personal* nametag. (The one I keep for myself, and use daily.)

The Raspberry Pi Pico is working, and had a bit more of a learning curve. I also had to learn how to use Thonny, which is simple enough to learn in a few minutes of tinkering. It's using MicroPython and draws 0.01 Amps. (Not sure how many mA that would be, but it's small. Almost nothing.) I like it because the Micro Python script boots almost instantly at power-on.

And lastly, this is my Arduino "Leonardo" Pro Micro board, also drawing just 0.01 Amps. It's the smallest board, and still cheap. Also the least feature-rich of the 3. All of these are taking in 5v directly, but I'll hardwire them directly when assembled with a battery, instead of powering via the USB port.
