Got a Nintendo Switch and I'm disappointed

Well, 3 days ago I've got a Nintendo Switch. The design of this console is great and games look awesome. However, I'm very disappointed that it doesn't have music in home menu, Mii Channel or eShop. I really liked old 3DS eShop theme, and Wii Mii Channel music was just magnificent. So it's sad that Switch doesn't have something like this.
Aside from this, the console is great, and it's pretty much perfect for me as a person who can't play games at home this often. It's marvelous to play this at home when I get time for this but it's pretty nifty to be able to continue playing my favorite titles whenever I want.

I'd give it some time. Remember the 3DS didn't even launch with an eShop, and only really picked up traction a year after release. I feel like the Switch will continue to grow.

(Yeah I know, and so does the blog poster? I'm saying the system is still in early days and will get better)

(Oh, okay. It's still too early to judge it since it's actively updated when a new issue is found)

Vita menu music is one of the best IMO, but the Wii one was also nice. Sad that the switch doesn't have one

I think nintendo is avoiding any way to possible exploit or hack the system. Is just one idea.

Second is the OS is very incomplete. The fact that all it can do out the box is play games is sad yes, but more features will come with updates. (So if you looking for homebrew this early, maybe least consider you are encouraged to stay on as low firmware as possible and that low firmware means most of the basic system functions it should have isn't available until updates.) Best to just play it and keep updating until it gets enough content for what you want from it. Or sell it and get something that is already more complete.

Yeah it could had SOMETHING useful to do besides play a game on it, like media player, youtube, or even twitch watching or direct streaming, a camera and mic, and a mess of other stuff SHIELD TABLET HAS but no, nintendo will be nintendo. :ninja:

(Oh look Blaster master Zero and Mighty Gunvolt burst both on eshop for $10, what a good deal for video games on switch.) :)

@Sonic Angel Knight i think you nailed your first point but the featureless switch issue is likely related to your second point
i feel its what they did with wii and 3ds (probably wiiu as well . . . i dont follow that scene) in an attempt to get people to update beyond the point where nintendo discovered a fixable exploit to a version with the patch included

I'm glad there's no background music either on the main menu or on the eShop. I hated it on the WiiU. :)

I'm indifferent but background music is still nice. I bet you eventually since we have two different themes right now that there will be home menu themes that you can get like the 3ds that adds music.
If not there will always be homebrew later along the line that can hopefully remedy this

There's a tab just for Switch themes, though of course there's only White and Black, it's highly likely a theme shop will be added later, along with other features (Youtube/Netflix hopefully soon, as my TV only has for a single HDMI cable).

We'll see, honestly. Yeah, the lack of music is boring.. Borderline eerie in my honest opinion. Oo

I pretty much agree with what ScarletKohaku and Sonic Angel Knight said. On the software side, the Switch is still very, very barebones. We can only hope that things will improve and pick up with future system updates.
