Pokemon Ultra SM just got announced, and I'm very excited about this. Nonetheless, there are lots of people bragging about not getting main Pokemon games on Nintendo Switch. I don't really want be cruel but when I see someone who whines about that, I feel... satisfied. Recently, Joe "Serebii" Merrick said that this "Pokemon Stars" rumor was very destructive, and I absolutelty agree with him. People expected too much, and YouTubers, news resources and other sorts of mass media just used all the hype for self-promotion, creating even more hype. Those rumors about "Pokemon Stars" and "New Pokemon game on Switch" weren't even related before that! Because of that hype created out of nowhere, and because of the increased (again, out of nowhere) expectations, the reaction to Ultra SM was underwhelming.
So why do I feel satisfied? Well, that's simple: maybe after that at least someone could understand that rumors should be taken with a grain of salt, and even if they are popularized, they still remain as rumors until confirmation. And this can make our world a better place.
