I don't have any reason to get up in the morning.

My last job was 3-11pm, so i was always going to bed very late and sleeping in far too long. But now I'm out, I wake up in the morning and I couldn't even be bothered anymore. Not as bad as a long-distance friend that seems to be drifting to be fully nocturnal, but still kinda bad.

Next week I'll possibly try finding work again, but after Christmas for certain. I just feel that I should've had my life together many years ago now...

come on man , I work from 8 : 30 am - 5 pm , play video games from 8 pm to 1 am , and am still up at 7 am and ready for the day.
so get your lazy ass in gear .
 
I've been unemployed for 6 years.
I've seen all sorts of sleeping patterns occur in me.
I usually go to sleep at 3/4 am, wake up at 12.
Can't say I'm bothered by it.
 
same thing happen to me, i worked from 3pm to 10pm and i stayed up to 6am everyday. but it started for effect my mood so i tried changing my sleep pattern to sleep at 2 wake up at 9am. but then i get up early to do nothing so i am at sleep at like 4 and wake up at 11:30 am
 
Point me at someone that "has their life together" and I will point you at a liar, or at best something built upon a house of cards.

I did permanent night shifts (average 204 or more hrs a month with overtime) 18.30-06.30 for two years straight. You basically live the complete opposite to everyone else and it's fucks you up in the long run and It's not good for the health.

I still do the same shifts but it's days instead of nights and in the beginning, it took me around 3-4months to adjust to normal daily routines.
