I feel much much better

Hello all
it's been a while since I've made blog, but here's some news about my health
As you may already know, I have Parkinson due to my medecine
About a week ago, I met my neurologist
He saw me, I was shaking as fucking hell
it was impossible to me to control my shaking for more than two seconds
And when I was shaking, it was fucking intense

Now, my neurologist made changes in my meds,
apparently, some meds my psychiatrist gave me and my neurologist removed were removed too quickly
I now take them back in reduced doses, and hell, i feel sooo much better

Shaking are still here, but much much less intense,
Plus, I can control them for much much longer

I hope my condition will keep improving, but as my neurologist said,
that parkinsonism caused by the wrong medecine my psychiatrist gave me is non-reversible
it will always be there and cannot be cured...

Hell, life sucks, but less... :)

A med given by your doctor gave you Parkinson's? Shouldn't you be able to sue the shit out of them? Unless I'm reading that wrong.

@DKB nonono, you read right
some meds he gave me caused Parkinsonism
However, my neurologist told me it's what most psychiatrist of this generation do
So, the lack of mischief will make it hard to sue him
Plus, I live in Quebec, sueing people isn'T something common

@DeadlyFoez I asked my neurologist if it could help
he doesn't recommend it, apparently, it might make it worse

@the_randomizer I have Tourette syndrome and Autism
It was to help me control my tics, but it didn'T work out well
of course, giving me Parkinson wasn't his intention

I would at least try it if I were you.
Keep in mind, all these doctors get kickbacks from the pharmaceutical companies for prescribing their meds, so if you can find a medicine that you can grow some of your own then that means lost revenue for the doctor, so of course he will recommend against it.
The USA is the most highly medicated country in the world. "Oh, you have this problem, we will give you this medicine. Oh, you got bad side effects from that medicine, well here is another medicine that will stop they side effects, but you will now bleed out your ass, so take these meds too".

It does not hurt at all for you to try it out and see if it stops the shakes. Hell, if you live close by then I will give you some to help you out.

Whenever I grow pot I usually give about half of it away to other people.

Well, as someone on the ASD spectrum, I feel you, but damn that blows. Sounds like crappy medication IMO >.>

In the US, most mainstream doctors don't recommend using marijuana for a number of reasons. But from what I've read I haven't seen anything that would imply that it would make parkinson's worse. In fact, people tend to say the opposite. Any effects would be temporary anyway, so it wouldn't kill to try, and it's legal where you live so you are only risking a little money. If you don't feel comfortable with it, I understand taking a doctor's advice over random people online.

@DeadlyFoez Laval, near Montreal, Province of Quebec :P

Unfortunatly, I doubt he says that just to give me more meds
As for now, he gave me only one, compared to my psychiatrist who gave me dozens
So far, my neurologist mostly reduced doses and removed some

@Subtle Demise as you said, random people on internet saying the opposite of a neurologist
Even if he just want his money, which i doubt for mentionned reason above
He still is most trustable than random people on internet imo

@DeadlyFoez I already saw that video
I know it works, but apparently, not for everyone
my Parkinson isn't due to aging but to meds
Maybe that's why it may make it worse, idk...

Antipsychotics are fairly dangerous in terms of Parkinson-like symptoms. The problem is that some doctors use them way to often, way to early and in too high doses.

There are reasons to take such drugs, but they are even used as tranquilizers. My opinion: One should already have a huge problem, when considering taking antipsychotics (and there is hope the possible goodness is better/bigger than the possible badness).

These drugs have a right to exist; in case of really bad schizophrenia/psychosis they can do more good than harm.

@Noctosphere Good to hear you feel slightly better. Getting rid of some of these can take loooong.

Hey man, hope you're doing well. My grandfather has Parkinson's, and he medicates with marijuana, it's a night and day difference for him. Just throwing that out there, I hope you find something to help you and stay positive.

Grandpa was against use, legalization, pretty much anything that had to do with THC. He would beat my ass when I came home even looking stoned. A few years back, I damn near had to force him to use my vape because he was so miserable, he tried literally everything for over 60 years. Now calls me damn near everyday, for the past 3 or so years, saying I saved his life, made him actually want to live blah blah blah.

Stay strong friend.

Have you ever tried something CBD related? I've heard this have a lot of good effects on people with many different kinds of neurological disabilities, ranging from anxiety to Parkinson itself. It was extremely irresponsible from your neurologist to do that. Is it reversible?

EDIT: Ninja'd. Didn't see someone else talked about CBD. Sorry.

And by the way, i hope you are able to recover!! It's terrible to live like that, and i'm very glad you've been improving. Get well soon (:
