Now I have to wait until Sept 20 because Nintendo thought it would be a good idea to release it hella late into Q3. Oh well :T
I sold my old switch to my sister, so I still kind of have an unpatched unit.
this will be my first game system bought on day one, pretty neato. I bought the yellow one, so it'll be easier to find(and the pokemon edition was capped out lol), and the white goes really good with the yellow imo (I really do hope custom shell replacements become common place soon like they did with the og switch). I didn't buy any games, but I hope I somehow get money so i can buy the Zelda remake, or Zelda botw and the dlc. Botw might not of been the best game, but I really enjoyed it on my wii u, and I can waste so many hours in it. If the rumored Nintendo Direct is in Sept, I hope we get some BOTW2 information, or maybe some Metroid4 news :3
Battery life isn't as good as the new switch, but a couple more hours onto the og one is still pretty good. Idk if it will matter much, but even though it's a 720P screen, the pixel density will be higher, and in turn, technically look better irl.
I pre ordered it at gamestop. I have mixed feelings about gamestop, I don't really like the company, but the people are really great at this one GS i go to. I went to other ones in the state, and only that one I buy stuff at. Maybe because I go there more often or what, I still really like it. One time, I bought some stuff, and I had an $5 that needed to be payed, I didn't have the money ofc, so I asked her if she could take one of them off, and instead, she gave me a Pro member discount (keep in mind, I already decline a membership, and in no way a pro), which took care of the rest of the money I had to pay. One of those small acts of kindness that I think about a lot when I go to buy games, or just buying stuff in general.
