My Thoughts on "In Too Deep" - Steven Universe Season 3 reactions

- Steven can control the Watermelon Stevens? Weird, but it's useful...
- Wait, the Watermelon Stevens were performing religious offerings of themselves to Malachite AND were dressing up as Steven himself to do so? (Freaky...)
- Also, apparently, the Watermelon Stevens can recognize that Steven had taken over one of them AND Malachite could also...?
- Alexandrite has access to all of the weapons that her components have - we see the flail, the hammer, Opal's bow and arrow, and Amthyst's whip....(we don't see Pearl's polearm? Weird...)
- the "female" watermelon Steven went to war, instead of the male one...could it be because the Gems are warriors themselves and female looking too?
- Malachite's voice is no longer two separate voices - does this mean that she was finally stabilized as Malachite? Or is Lapis going to be mentally troubled - she spent all this time fighting Jasper and trying to stop her from hurting people...
- Watermelon Steven's speech sounds literally like someone mouthing "Watermelon" - you know, that trick to fool people into thinking you are saying words, but you aren't?
- Garnet thanking the Watermelon Stevens for their help makes me think that they would play a bigger part in the future!
- love that Pearl had a relieved laugh, Amthyst lands on her face, and Garnet was bent on one knee after breaking their fusion.
- Steven holding onto Garnet's leg made me thinking of growing up and stopping relying solely on Parental support, and that coupled with Peridot's comment on rebelling made me think of Steven is growing up!

- Love that the first thing we hear coming out of the Watermelon Steven is that Garnet saying "We love you, Steven!"
- Peridot programming actual elevator music for the Gem Drill actually made me giggle at little. Well, at least she gets humanity now.
- It seems like Steven was actually more anxious and nervous in the Gem Drill, and the closer he got to it, the more it was able to communicate with him. (His dialogue doesn't seem like himself - he actually expresses a need to "stretch out" in the Gem Drill...)
- isn't the control pod part of the Gem Drill Peridot's ship? How the heck did you think everyone else would have fit, Peridot?
- also, I love how Peridot's hair bunches when Steven sits so close to her...
- "triple tip penetration mode" made me laugh out loud. Yes, hi, my mind's in the gutter...
- the soundtrack when we meet the Cluster is terrifying - classic horror, plus the multiple arms evoke classic body horror...
- I think that bubbling the Cluster just delayed it. But it proves that Forced Fusions are sentient, not just mindless beings...OR the Cluster's sheer amount individuals made it sentient? (Like ants? Many beings become sentient because of their sheer number...)
- Jasper fell towards the core/Cluster - she may try to reactivate it OR fuse with it OR wait until Yellow Diamond appears and does something with it...
- Peridot's ship has Russian letter on the console...what and why?
- most of the promo was from this episode!
- Garnet just looked proud at Steven (Could she have seen this happen in her future vision?)
