Restoration

So I was going through my closet, and I have a ton of broken electronics, and I've made it a goal sorta to fix what I can, and use up alot of my electrical parts, to make space.
The first thing I've found, and seems a little fixable, is an Iphone 5s, I think it's 32GB, I'm not sure, it's color black, and here are the list of problem(s)

the battery is messed up, Logic board might be dead, and screen is cracked severely. It's from my sister, who tried to replace the screen, but got some sparks instead, she just got a new phone instead, and has been in my closet for the better part of a year or two.

Over that time, I've replaced the battery, and lost alot of the screws, and that's where it's been sitting.

I bought an iphone 5s from ebay for about $15 including shipping. the listing said "bad LCD, possible activ Ation lock" what I got, was an Iphone 5s, with Trash ports, with dirt in them.

I put it in DFU mode, erased anything on it, and updated it.

Here's the screen

The next thing to do was the ports, so opening it up(I forgot to take pictures of this process), It was rather nerve wracking, because 1mm screws are to keep track of, Lost my tweezers, and I had to take out most of the components to get to the Charge port and audio jack, Here's the old one

as you can kinda see, there's alot of dirt and grime it in. there was risk of short, which I didn't want, here's the Ports that I swapped, they are alot cleaner

You probably can't see it well, but these look pristine compared to the other ones.

Now all I need is a screen, and I want another battery, to make sure it works fine, because I think it might heating, and don't want it to blow. Pretty good for $15, especially because I was pretty sure it was an Icloud lock.

How'd you get past the lock to put it in DFU mode? Surprised it didn't tell you to connect to itunes.

...unless, there wasn't a lock in the first place.

I'm pretty sure it was just Cellular provider type of lock, which makes sense, cause english bad.

I put it in Dfu mode just as a precaution pretty much.
