The past five days or so ever since I got my DVD set of Seikai no Monshou, and it's... been a trip. I wanted to rip the DVD so I can host a group anime viewing on my laptop, as I prefer being on it instead of the old desktop I had to fire up for that (laptop doesn't have a CD drive). I tried almost everything I could think of... except for Handbrake, as I discounted that till I actually read how to use it.
Many mistakes later and many hours wasted, I made... some progress. 6 hours to rip 6 episodes (well, one's still being ripped at the moment, but it's still an hour to do so), mainly because I wanted the highest quality for them when I host, and then another 6 hours for 6 episodes of the English dub... and that's not even thinking of the rest of the series, which I still need to rip from the other DVD.
Slow, but steady, all this is worth it for nothing but the best quality for a hidden gem of an anime.
