0) Majora's Mask: It sucks. Plain and simple, the three day countdown and too many sidequests made me want to hurl my 3DS across the room. Ocarina of Time still holds up as a game because it feels like you accomplish things - the 3DS version of Majora's Mask does not. (Too bad, because I preordered this game when it was announced.)
1) FNAF: Great lore behind it, and very cool concept. (I hate animatronics with a passion - yes, I was traumatized by the "It's A Small World" Disney ride as a kid - there was this shadow/diorama of Vishu (the multiple armed Hindu god), and that image is still branded in my brain FOREVER. I went back as a teenager, and the ride had changed - but it was still vaguely creepy). So props for Scott Cawthorn creating a game that featured killer animatronics. But at a base level, FNAF should have been just a flash game - finite resources, and jumpscares - let the player scare the piss out of themselves. And it came out at a time when there was no horror themed games, so people who LOVE horror games basically ate it up.
Also, amusing side note - Scott Cawthorn actually ended up licensing his games to be made into little "back pack" danglers. I found them at Toys R Us, and I would probably end up buying some for a friend's Christmas present.
2) Pokemon games are being released way too fast and people are going to get burnt out on the series. Don't get me wrong, I still love Pokemon, but when Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby's sales still haven't cooled down, I don't think the development team should be working on games like this. I have a feeling that the game was developed alongside Alpha Sapphire/Omega Ruby, but...
I also made up my mind that I'm probably not going to buy remakes of Pokemon games. I just finished playing through Alpha Sapphires Delta episode, and just put it down in favour of Yokai Watch and Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon.
3) Mobile games are going to destroy the portable console market. Everyone has a tablet, cell phone and other device that can play games. I know a lot of my friends are waiting for Pokemon Go, versus picking up another Nintendo portable handheld. What's easier? Download a game to a device that you always have on hand, than to buy another handheld + accessories for it. Only problem is that the phone/device does not have buttons, but you can solve that with accessories.
Don't get me wrong, I like having dedicated portable consoles for gaming. It's just that the devices and games are dead expensive for them.
4) Installing screen protectors is bullshit. Why can't my device's screens have scratch resistance built in?
5) Limited edition consoles are frankly ridiculous. Screw all of you scalpers out there asking for $380 for a Majora's Mask n3DS XL. I rather wait until the stuff comes down in price than pay XXXX amount of money to people who flip the console.
