Welp, no more 3DS for me.

Now, I haven't been accessing the 'Temp more frequently like I was before because mostly, I was just here for the awesome homebrew made about other users (even for other consoles besides the 3DS), along with some projects and a few friends.

But lemme tell you what happened, I had a few bills to pay plus my bf broke up with me so I wasn't in my best emotional shape. I was selling my New 3DS XL (US) system with a mSD 16GB for 100 bucks... then dropped to 90 and then someone found my ad and wanted the system for 80 bucks.
Since I couldn't find anyone who would buy it, and pawn shops/gaming stores would buy it for MUCH less, I shrugged and decided to go with it.
The plan was simple, he would send me 20 bucks by bank transfer for me to send the console to him and I would send him the console charging him for the 60 (meaning if the package got to his door, he would have to pay for it and then a check would be written and sent to me) but what happened was that, because I had a job offer the day I just sent him the console, I was in a rush that day and sent him the package without charging... meaning that he basically got it for free.
I couldn't get it back and if I did I would have to pay for it twice, so I called him explaining what had happened and he said he would send me the money anyways, so I trusted the guy... for now.

After he got his console, he reported saying everything was working just fine and that he would send me the money the next hour... hours turned to days and days turned to weeks. After contacting him, he said that his kid dropped the console the next day he got it meaning... his kid busted it since it wouldn't turn on (probably the touch screen ribbon got loose, had to fix it myself months ago).
He handled the console to those indian tech support guys and said that he would need to pay for the repairment of the console, but he didn't said a word about my pending money. I was beginning to feel pissed at this moment since, despite being just 60 bucks, that's money that would really be handful for my current bills, and since I live by myself with my boyfriend, living together isn't a piece of pie as anyone thinks it is.
So basically after this he reported back saying that the repairment of the console would be a hell lot over 60 bucks since it would require a new motherboard (seriously tho, those indian 'techs' really know how to suck money from a schmuck) and he mentioned that he was really sorry for the delay and that his kid had autism and that's why he dropped it.
I stupidly offered myself to repair console since... I felt bad. He told me he was the only one working day and night, mostly for his autistic child and that got me a bit tear eyed, so although he wanted to send the console back for me to repair it and charge, I couldn't charge it after that story so I just told him that I'd repair it for free, if he paid my pending 60 bucks + shipping fees in advance.
He agreed to and to this day, exactly 22 days later still not a god damn word from this and didn't even read my last message
So... basically this N3DS XL was a Christmas gift and I sold it thinking I would be balancing my bills back up again and just buying a new 3DS XL but... I was left without money and console.
Guess the joke is on me then.

Haven't reported him but if I did nothing would be done, my case would be archived in a matter of days.

Yeah, and turns out after years of selling and buying shit online, this is the first time I've been scammed it seems.

Ahh, what's done is done mate.
Now I just have to focus on getting another 3DS.. somehow.

Even so...if someone could donate one your way...still, hope someone goes after that douche for doing that.

Damn dude that's weaksauce. Always go through reputable retailers or otherwise get cash up front. That's why I took $60 from Amazon trade-in for my O3DS XL and kept the SDs.

tc, now think carefully, u sent ur 3ds to that scumbag right, then u should know wheere he lives, visit him and make 4 giant holes on his car's wheels

It was in a Portuguese ads website, sort of like Craigslist.
Guy didn't knew what Paypal so I was SOL, it was either his method or no sale at all.

Thanks for the support guys, never thought this many people would pay attention to this.
I never scammed anyone but god damn it I still believe people don't scam just because but i was proven wrong.

@leon315 I do have his address... I think that's his address, regardless I don't think making holes in his tired or even breaking his windows wouldn't worsen the situation nor I'd feel great about it.

:/ I know how it feels to get scammed... I hope you get the money back, but it looks bad :/
