Is it true that not64 supports the wii u gamepad as a controller or did I understood something wrong?

Godreborn, " but it's easy".....I understand your point of view, but Sorry to deceive you, I tried once and it didn't work and didn't make it, I was even missing somes files, it was quite complicated, you must say this because hald a century old like me, I'm an artist and mechanic, make a kitchen installation or a brick wall, Read a map, survive in nature with almost nothing..... I can do this: but making a simple bloody forwarder is quite hard for me with no video tutorial with files, there's a reason why I'm still on Wiiu, it took me a lot of time to learn everything I know on WiiU and that's why don't want to go on a Switch, A new console without updates and XX parameters and things to now, like the PS2 is a dream for me, I regret the years of the PS2 ;-)

prince_h To last News (except if a new version pops out), Not64 the dol app doesn't support gamepad, for the gamepad to work, you must use an app that supports it and the forwarder that activates it, a forwarder that support gamepad has been made for nt64, so that in futur, if the app supports it, it will work

well, on aroma you cant make a forwarder for an .elf file. those files arent supported

I'm starting to wonder if going with Boot2vWii would be the best thing going forward with these forwarders. Just the other day I was trying to open a forwarder without my Gamepad (cause the battery was out) using my WUPC. And I had some trouble getting past the first messages. I had to get out my Wiimote to continue. But Boot2vWii goes right past the messages and boots strait into vWii. And you can use all of the images and icons to go along with it. You can see a long thread of me struggling with it here (spoilers: I'm just a scrub and eventually figured it out).

I've tried both the wii64 and not64 forwarders. They both open and work but I have no gamepad support. I can see it on the gamepad but no buttons work and it's not registered as a controller. What am I missing?

burritoplanet, your are missing this: wii64 and not64 don't support gamepad​

In order for an app to work, the prerequisite are: App that support the gamepad and forwarder that activates the gamepad.
Might change in the future.....forwarders are already ready for it.

I'e had a few people ask me for some revisions, or further variations etc. Ordinarily I would jump on this, but I've been going through some serious health problems, and am just spread too thin at the moment. If and when things bounce back, I will check in to see what I can to to help others out. In the meantime, I did post my source files, so you are free to mod or adapt them however you see fit. THANK YOU! I was looking everywhere for a Not64 forwarder, because some N64 games run better on Wii64 and some on Not64. If I hadn´t found this forwarder, I would've had to use @Trudes' tutorial on how to do it, which seems a bit too complicated for me.

What is the benefit of wiiflow over wii injects?

Only two benefits. 1. would be that you can disable the Wii´s blurry deflicker (Its a VERY minor thing, but gives a VERY slightly blurless image) and 2. just the feel of opening the vWii, listening to its sound effects and entering the games via WADs like if you were launching them from an OG Wii and hearing their boot sounds. That is a benefit for some who want to get the original feeling of launching a Wii game. Outside from those two things, there is no difference.
